Abstract
A garment assembly includes a robe and a pair of shorts. The robe includes a back portion and a pair of front flaps attached to and extending from opposing side edges of the back portion, wherein the robe is designed to extend from shoulders to thighs of a wearer to cover a torso and pelvic region of a wearer. The pair of shorts is connected to an interior surface of the robe and includes a rear half and a front half to enclose a pelvic region of a wearer.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 . A garment assembly comprising:
a robe comprising a back portion and a pair of front flaps attached to and extending from opposing side edges of said back portion, wherein said robe is configured to extend from shoulders to thighs of a wearer to cover a torso and pelvic region of a wearer; and a pair of shorts connected to an interior surface of said robe and comprising a rear half and a front half to enclose a pelvic region of a wearer.
2 . The garment assembly of claim 1 , wherein said rear half is integrally formed as part of said back portion of said robe and said front half is attached to lower sections of said opposing side edges of said back portion.
3 . The garment assembly of claim 2 , wherein said front flaps are foldable over said front half of said shorts.
4 . The garment assembly of claim 2 , wherein said front half of said shorts is integrally formed as part of one of said front flaps and the other of said front flaps is foldable over said front half of said shorts.
5 . The garment assembly of claim 1 , wherein an upper portion of said shorts is connected to said robe such that said shorts hang freely from said robe and are coverable by said back portion and said front flaps.
6 . The garment assembly of claim 5 , wherein said upper portion of said shorts is attached to said back portion of said robe by a plurality of individual stitches.
7 . The garment assembly of claim 5 , wherein said robe comprises an inner belt extending around said back portion and said front flaps and separated into free sections attached at ends thereof to an interior surface of said robe, and said upper portion of said shorts comprises a plurality of short belt loops disposed around said inner belt, one at each of said free sections, wherein said short belt loops are slidable along said free sections to permit substantially free rotational movement of said shorts with respect to said robe.
8 . The garment assembly of claim 1 , wherein said shorts comprise a resiliently stretchable waist band extending around said rear half and said front half.
9 . The garment assembly of claim 1 , wherein said robe comprises outer belt loops and the garment assembly comprises a belt threaded through said belt loops.
10 . The garment assembly of claim 1 , wherein said robe comprises short sleeves.
11 . The garment assembly of claim 1 , wherein said robe comprises long sleeves.
12 . The garment assembly of claim 1 , wherein said robe comprises a hood.
13 . The garment assembly of claim 1 , wherein said robe comprises a first tie attached to said back portion and a second tie attached to one of said front flaps, wherein said first tie and said second tie are configured to be detachably tied together to temporarily secure said one of said front flaps in a folded position over a wearer.
14 . A garment assembly comprising:
a robe comprising a back portion and a pair of front flaps attached to and extending from opposing side edges of said back portion, wherein said robe is configured to extend from shoulders to thighs of a wearer to cover a torso and pelvic region of a wearer, wherein:
said robe comprises outer belt loops and the garment assembly comprises a belt threaded through said belt loops,
said robe comprises short sleeves or long sleeves,
said robe comprises a hood,
said robe comprises a first tie attached to said back portion and a second tie attached to one of said front flaps, wherein said first tie and said second tie are configured to be detachably tied together to temporarily secure said one of said front flaps in a folded position over a wearer; and
a pair of shorts connected to an interior surface of said robe and comprising a rear half and a front half to enclose a pelvic region of a wearer.
15 . The garment assembly of claim 14 , wherein said rear half is integrally formed as part of said back portion of said robe and said front half is attached to lower sections of said opposing side edges of said back portion.
16 . The garment assembly of claim 15 , wherein said front flaps are foldable over said front half of said shorts.
17 . The garment assembly of claim 15 , wherein said front half of said shorts is integrally formed as part of one of said front flaps and the other of said front flaps is foldable over said front half of said shorts.
18 . The garment assembly of claim 14 , wherein an upper portion of said shorts is connected to said robe such that said shorts hang freely from said robe and are coverable by said back portion and said front flaps.
19 . The garment assembly of claim 14 , wherein said upper portion of said shorts is attached to said back portion of said robe by a plurality of individual stitches.
20 . The garment assembly of claim 14 , wherein said robe comprises an inner belt extending around said back portion and said front flaps and separated into free sections attached at ends thereof to an interior surface of said robe, and said upper portion of said shorts comprises a plurality of short belt loops disposed around said inner belt, one at each of said free sections, wherein said short belt loops are slidable along said free sections to permit substantially free rotational movement of said shorts with respect to said robe.Cited by (0)
