Abstract

Provided is a method for producing a vinylphosphonic acid monoester from vinylphosphonic acid diester with high selectivity. The method for producing a vinylphosphonic acid monoester from a vinylphosphonic acid diester represented by the following Formula (1):wherein R1 and R2 each independently denote a linear or branched alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, the vinylphosphonic acid monoester being represented by the following Formula (2):wherein R1 denotes a linear or branched alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, according to the invention, wherein the method includes a step of heating the vinylphosphonic acid diester in the presence of a solvent and a basic substance, thereby obtaining the vinylphosphonic acid monoester, and a molar ratio of the basic substance to the vinylphosphonic acid diester is from 0.7 to 3.5.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A method for producing a vinylphosphonic acid monoester from a vinylphosphonic acid diester represented by the following Formula (1):

wherein R 1 and R 2 each independently denote a linear or branched alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms,
the vinylphosphonic acid monoester being represented by the following Formula (2):

wherein R 1 denotes a linear or branched alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms,
wherein the method comprises a step of heating the vinylphosphonic acid diester in the presence of a solvent and a basic substance, thereby obtaining the vinylphosphonic acid monoester, and
a molar ratio of the basic substance to the vinylphosphonic acid diester is from 0.7 to 3.5.

2 . The production method according to claim 1 , wherein selectivity of the vinylphosphonic acid monoester is 80% or more.

3 . The production method according to claim 1 , wherein the basic substance is at least one selected from the group consisting of alkaline metal hydroxides, carbonates, and
hydrogencarbonates, and alkaline earth metal hydroxides, carbonates, and hydrogencarbonates.

4 . The production method according to claim 1 , wherein the solvent contains water.

5 . The production method according to claim 1 , wherein pH of a reaction solution is from 11 to 14.

         6 . The production method according to claim 1 , wherein a reaction temperature is from 50° C. to 90° C.

7 . The production method according to claim 1 , wherein the vinylphosphonic acid monoester is at least one selected from the group consisting of dimethyl vinylphosphonate, diethyl vinylphosphonate, di-n-propyl vinylphosphonate, and diisopropyl vinylphosphonate.

8 . The production method according to claim 2 , wherein the basic substance is at least one selected from the group consisting of alkaline metal hydroxides, carbonates, and hydrogencarbonates, and alkaline earth metal hydroxides, carbonates, and hydrogencarbonates.

9 . The production method according to claim 2 , wherein the solvent contains water.

10 . The production method according to claim 2 , wherein pH of a reaction solution is from 11 to 14.

         11 . The production method according to claim 2 , wherein a reaction temperature is from 50° C. to 90° C.

12 . The production method according to claim 2 , wherein the vinylphosphonic acid monoester is at least one selected from the group consisting of dimethyl vinylphosphonate, diethyl vinylphosphonate, di-n-propyl vinylphosphonate, and diisopropyl vinylphosphonate.
