Archery mounting assembly having an adjuster
Abstract
An archery mounting assembly and method are disclosed herein. The archery mounting assembly, in an embodiment, includes a mount device having first and second portions that are moveable relative to one another. The second portion is configured to be coupled to the rear surface of an archery device. The archery device can be an archery bow that is aimable toward a target, or the archery device can be an adapter attached to the archery bow. When the second portion is coupled to the rear surface and the archery bow is aimed toward the target, the rear surface faces in a rearward direction away from the target. The archery mounting assembly also includes an adjuster moveably coupled to the second portion, and the archery mounting assembly has an accessory support supported by the first portion.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedThe following is claimed:
1 . An archery mounting assembly comprising:
a mount device comprising a coupler portion and a support portion that is moveable relative to the coupler portion, wherein the coupler portion is configured to be coupled to a rear surface of an archery device, wherein, the archery device comprises one of:
(a) an archery bow that is aimable toward a target that extends upward along a target plane, wherein the archery bow comprises a front surface; or
(b) an adapter attached to the archery bow, and
wherein, when the coupler portion is coupled to the rear surface and the archery bow is aimed toward the target, the front surface faces in a forward direction that intersects with the target plane, and rear surface faces in a rearward direction away from the target; an adjuster moveably coupled to the coupler portion, wherein the adjuster at least partially supports the support portion; and an accessory support supported by the support portion of the mount device, wherein the accessory support is configured to support an archery accessory, wherein the adjuster and the mount device are configured to cooperate so that, when the coupler portion is coupled to the rear surface and the archery bow is aimed toward the target, the support portion is repositionable relative to the rear surface in response to a movement of the adjuster relative to the coupler portion.
2 . The archery mounting assembly of claim 1 , wherein the coupler portion comprises a positioning clamp assembly.
3 . The archery mounting assembly of claim 1 , wherein the the positioning clamp assembly comprises a plurality of clamp portions.
4 . The archery mounting assembly of claim 1 , wherein the support portion comprises at least one clamp.
5 . The archery mounting assembly of claim 1 , wherein the support portion comprises a dovetail shape.
6 . The archery mounting assembly of claim 1 , wherein the adjuster comprises a plurality of threads.
7 . The archery mounting assembly of claim 6 , wherein the coupler portion comprise a threaded surface configured to be engaged with the threads of the adjuster.
8 . The archery mounting assembly of claim 1 , wherein the adjuster comprises a threaded shaft.
9 . The archery mounting assembly of claim 1 , comprising a knob coupled to the adjuster.
10 . The archery mounting assembly of claim 1 , wherein the adapter comprises an adapter rail.
11 . The archery mounting assembly of claim 1 , wherein the adapter:
defines at least one opening configured to receive a fastener; and comprises a dovetail shape.
12 . The archery mounting assembly of claim 1 , wherein the archery accessory comprises a projectile support device.
13 . An archery mounting assembly comprising:
a mount device comprising first and second portions configured to be moved relative to one another, wherein the second portion is configured to be coupled to a rear surface of an archery device, wherein, the archery device comprises one of:
(a) an archery bow that is aimable toward a target, wherein the archery bow comprises a front surface; or
(b) an adapter attached to the archery bow, and
wherein, when the second portion is coupled to the rear surface and the archery bow is aimed toward the target, the rear surface faces in a rearward direction away from the target; an adjuster moveably coupled to the second portion; and an accessory support supported by the first portion.
14 . The archery mounting assembly of claim 13 , wherein the second portion comprises a positioning clamp assembly.
15 . The archery mounting assembly of claim 13 , wherein:
the first portion comprises at least one clamp; and the first portion comprises a dovetail shape.
16 . The archery mounting assembly of claim 13 , wherein:
the adjuster comprises a plurality of threads; the second portion comprise a threaded surface configured to be engaged with the threads; and the archery mounting assembly comprises a knob coupled to the adjuster.
17 . The archery mounting assembly of claim 13 , wherein the adapter comprises an adapter rail.
18 . The archery mounting assembly of claim 13 , wherein:
the adjuster at least partially supports the first portion; the adjuster is configured to undergo a movement relative to the second portion; the movement causes the first portion to move relative to the rear surface when the second portion is coupled to the rear surface.
19 . An arrow rest device comprising the archery mounting assembly of claim 13 .
20 . A method for manufacturing an archery mounting assembly, the method comprising:
configuring a mount device so that the mount device comprises first and second portions that are moveable relative to each other, wherein the second portion is configured to be coupled to a rear surface of an archery device, wherein, the archery device comprises one of:
(a) an archery bow that is aimable toward a target that extends upward along a target plane, wherein the archery bow comprises a front surface; or
(b) an adapter attached to the archery bow, and
wherein, when the second portion is coupled to the rear surface and the archery bow is aimed toward the target, the front surface faces in a forward direction that intersects with the target plane, and rear surface faces in a rearward direction away from the target; configuring an adjuster to be moveably coupled to the second portion; and configuring an accessory support to be supported by the first portion.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
