Abstract

A device providing temporary pairing for wireless devices may include a memory and at least one processor configured to receive a request to temporarily pair with a wireless device. The at least one processor may be further configured to pair with the wireless device, wherein the pairing comprises generating a link key for connecting to the wireless device. The at least one processor may be further configured to connect to the wireless device using the link key. The at least one processor may be further configured to initiate a timer upon disconnecting from the wireless device. The at least one processor may be further configured to automatically and without user input, delete the link key when the timer reaches a timeout value without having reconnected to the wireless device using the link key.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A method, comprising:
generating, by an electronic device, a first audio stream including first audio content and a second audio stream including the first audio content; receiving, by the electronic device while concurrently streaming the first audio stream including the first audio content to a first wireless audio output device and the second audio stream including the first audio content to a second wireless audio output device, an incoming audio communication session; and generating a third audio stream with second audio content corresponding to the incoming audio communication session for streaming to the first wireless audio output device while continuing to stream the second audio stream including the first audio content to the second wireless audio output device.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second audio stream is different from the third audio stream and does not include the second audio content.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the incoming audio communication session comprises a telephone call or an audio-video conference call.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first wireless audio output device comprises a first set of wireless earbuds and the second wireless audio output device comprises a second set of wireless earbuds.

5 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising, responsive to receiving the incoming audio communication session and prior to generating the third audio stream, generating a notification for the first wireless audio output device and the second wireless audio output device.

6 . The method of claim 5 , further comprising multiplexing the notification into the first audio stream and the second audio stream being concurrently streamed, respectively, to the first wireless audio output device and the second wireless audio output device.

7 . The method of claim 6 , further comprising receiving, by the electronic device responsive to the notification, a request from the first wireless audio output device to receive the incoming audio communication session, wherein generating the third audio stream comprises generating the third audio stream responsive to the request.

8 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising, following completion of the incoming audio communication session, resuming, by the electronic device, generating the first audio stream including the first audio content for streaming to the first wireless audio output device.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first wireless audio output device is registered to a first user account, and wherein the second wireless audio output device is registered to a second user account.

10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the electronic device is registered to the first user account.

11 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising, responsive to receiving the incoming audio communication session and prior to generating the third audio stream, generating a notification for the first wireless audio output device.

12 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising multiplexing the notification into the first audio stream being streamed to the first wireless audio output device concurrently with the streaming of the second audio stream to the second wireless audio output device.

13 . The method of claim 12 , further comprising receiving, by the electronic device responsive to the notification, a request from the first wireless audio output device to receive the incoming audio communication session, wherein generating the third audio stream comprises generating the third audio stream responsive to the request.

14 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising, following completion of the incoming audio communication session, resuming, by the electronic device, generating the first audio stream including the first audio content for streaming to the first wireless audio output device.

15 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising receiving, by the electronic device via the first wireless audio output device, an initiation of a voice assistant at the electronic device.

16 . The method of claim 15 , further comprising generating, by the electronic device and responsive to the initiation, a voice assistant response for transmission to the first wireless audio output device concurrently with streaming the second audio stream to the second wireless audio output device.

17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the voice assistant response is not transmitted to the second wireless audio output device.

18 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising synchronizing, by the electronic device, the first audio stream and the second audio stream.

         19 . An apparatus, comprising:
 processing circuitry configured to:
 generate a first audio stream including first audio content and a second audio stream including the first audio content;
receiving, while concurrently streaming the first audio stream including the first audio content to a first wireless audio output device and the second audio stream including the first audio content to a second wireless audio output device, an incoming audio communication session; and
generate a third audio stream with second audio content corresponding to the incoming audio communication session for streaming to the first wireless audio output device while continuing to stream the second audio stream including the first audio content to the second wireless audio output device.

         20 . A device, comprising:
radio frequency (RF) circuitry; and at least one processor configured to operate the RF circuitry to: concurrently stream a first audio stream including first audio content to a first wireless audio output device and a second audio stream including the first audio content to a second wireless audio output device; receive, while concurrently streaming the first audio stream including the first audio content to the first wireless audio output device and second audio stream including the first audio content to the second wireless audio output device, an incoming audio communication session; and stream a third audio stream with second audio content corresponding to the incoming audio communication session to the first wireless audio output device while continuing to stream the second audio stream including the first audio content to the second wireless audio output device.
