Abstract
The present disclosure relates to an aerosol delivery device and system e.g. a smoking substitute device and system ( 100 ). In particular an aerosol delivery device ( 102 ), comprising a device power source ( 112 ) supported by a device chassis ( 352 ), a device housing ( 200 ) surrounding the device chassis, and a pair of fixing element ( 354 ) affixing the device housing to the device chassis. The pair of fixing elements are in electrical communication with the device power source for transmitting electrical energy from an external power supply to the device power source.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An aerosol delivery device, comprising:
a device power source supported by and at least partially housed within a device chassis; a device housing surrounding the device chassis; and a pair of fixing elements affixing the device housing to the device chassis, wherein the pair of fixing elements are in electrical communication with the device power source for transmitting electrical energy from an external power supply to the device power source.
2 . The aerosol delivery device of claim 1 , wherein each of the fixing elements extends through the device housing.
3 . The aerosol delivery device of claim 2 , wherein the aerosol delivery device is configured to receive a component for containing an aerosol delivery device at a first end of the aerosol delivery device, and the fixing elements extend through the device housing at an opposing second end of the aerosol delivery device.
4 . The aerosol delivery device of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the fixing elements is a screw.
5 . The aerosol delivery device of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the fixing elements is electrically connected to the device power source via an electrically conductive clip.
6 . The aerosol delivery device of claim 5 , wherein the electrically conductive clip is biased into contact with a tip of the at least one fixing element.
7 . The aerosol delivery device of claim 5 , wherein the electrically conductive clip is connected to the device power source by a printed circuit board supported by the device chassis.
8 . The aerosol delivery device of claim 5 , wherein the electrically conductive clip is supported by the device chassis.
9 . The aerosol delivery device of claim 1 , wherein an exposed end of each fixing element is covered by a respective electrically conductive cap.
10 . The aerosol delivery device of claim 9 , wherein the electrically conductive caps are metal caps.
11 . The aerosol delivery device of claim 1 , further comprising an additional charging connection for supplying electrical energy from an external power supply to the device power source.
12 . The aerosol delivery device of claim 11 , wherein the additional charging connection comprises a female USB connector.
13 . The aerosol delivery device of claim 11 , wherein the additional charging connection is positioned between exposed ends of the fixing elements.
14 . An aerosol delivery system comprising a device according to claim 1 , and a component for containing an aerosol precursor.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
