Abstract

An image forming apparatus according to the present disclosure includes: one or more memories; and one or more processors functioning by executing instructions stored in the one or more memories as the following units: a chart output unit configured to output a test chart obtained by executing post-processing on a sheet; a display control unit configured to display a screen containing information indicating a measurement position related to a position of the post-processing on the test chart; a setting unit configured to accept setting up of adjustment related to the position of the post-processing on the screen; and an adjustment control unit configured to adjust the position of the post-processing based on the setting through the setting unit.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An image forming apparatus comprising:
 one or more memories; and   one or more processors functioning by executing instructions stored in the one or more memories as the following units:   a chart output unit configured to output a test chart obtained by executing post-processing on a sheet;   a display control unit configured to display a screen containing information indicating a measurement position related to a position of the post-processing on the test chart;   a setting unit configured to accept setting up of adjustment related to the position of the post-processing on the screen; and   an adjustment control unit configured to adjust the position of the post-processing based on the setting through the setting unit.   
     
     
         2 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein
 an object with which a horizontal and vertical orientation is identifiable is printed on the test chart,   the information indicating the measurement position is displayed in a three-dimensional diagram illustrating the test chart displayed in the screen, and   the printed objected is displayed in the three-dimensional diagram.   
     
     
         3 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the adjustment related to the position of the post-processing is adjustment of misalignment of the post-processing,   the display control unit displays a plurality of states of the misalignment in a selectable manner in the screen, and   the setting unit accepts selection of at least one of the states of the misalignment.   
     
     
         4 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 3 , wherein the display control unit displays three-dimensional diagrams illustrating the test chart which correspond respectively to the plurality of states of the misalignment in the screen. 
     
     
         5 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 3 , wherein the plurality of states of the misalignment include a state without the misalignment. 
     
     
         6 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 3 , wherein
 the screen further includes an input field for a measured value measured by using the test chart, and   the adjustment control unit determines an adjustment value for adjusting a post-processing mechanism based on the measured value input in the input field and the selected state of the misalignment.   
     
     
         7 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 6 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to function as: an error notification unit configured to notify of an error in a case where the measured value input in the input field in the screen and the selected state of the misalignment in the screen contradict each other. 
     
     
         8 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the setting unit further
 accepts a choice about whether to output the test chart; and   the chart output unit outputs the test chart in a case where a choice to output the test chart is made, and does not output the test chart in a case where a choice to not output the test chart is made.   
     
     
         9 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the chart output unit outputs the test chart corresponding to a type of the post-processing, and   the display control unit displays a three-dimensional diagram illustrating the test chart corresponding to the type of the post-processing in the screen, and displays the information indicating the measurement position in the three-dimensional diagram.   
     
     
         10 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to function as: a sheet selection unit configured to accept selection of the sheet to be used to output the test chart, wherein
 the sheet selection unit displays a sheet selection screen in which the sheet that is usable for a type of the post-processing is presented in a selectable manner and the sheet that is not usable for the type of the post-processing is presented in a non-selectable manner.   
     
     
         11 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the post-processing is a saddle stitching process combining a folding process and a binding process. 
     
     
         12 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 11 , wherein the setting unit sequentially accepts setting up of adjustment of a folding position and setting up of adjustment of a binding position on different screens. 
     
     
         13 . A method of adjusting a post-processing position in an image forming apparatus, comprising: outputting a test chart obtained by executing post-processing on a sheet;
 displaying a screen containing information indicating a measurement position related to a position of the post-processing on the test chart;   accepting setting up of adjustment related to the position of the post-processing on the screen; and   adjusting the position of the post-processing based on the setting in the accepting.   
     
     
         14 . A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing a program which causes a computer to execute a method of adjusting a post-processing position, the method comprising:
 outputting a test chart obtained by executing post-processing on a sheet;   displaying a screen containing information indicating a measurement position related to a position of the post-processing on the test chart;   accepting setting up of adjustment related to the position of the post-processing on the screen; and   adjusting the position of the post-processing based on the setting in the accepting.
