Abstract
An apparatus for making a spunbond nonwoven has a spinneret for making bicomponent filaments having an eccentric core-sheath configuration whose sheaths seen axially of the filament have constant thicknesses over at least 20% of their outer surfaces. A mesh belt receives the filaments from the spinneret.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWe claim:
1 . An apparatus for making a spunbond nonwoven, the apparatus comprising:
a spinneret for making bicomponent or multicomponent filaments having an eccentric core-sheath configuration whose sheaths seen axially of the filament have constant thicknesses over at least 20% of their outer surfaces; and a mesh belt for receiving the filaments from the spinneret.
2 . The apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a cooler for cooling the filaments; and a stretcher connected to the cooler for stretching the filaments.
3 . The apparatus according to claim 2 , further comprising a diffuser connected to the stretcher.
4 . The apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the cooler and the stretcher form an assembly that is closed, and, except for the supply of cooling air in the cooler blocks entry of further air from outside.
5 . The apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a thermal preconsolidater for thermally preconsolidating the filaments of the nonwoven web deposited on the mesh belt by the spinneret.
6 . The apparatus according to claim 5 , wherein the thermal preconsolidater operates with hot air.
7 . An apparatus for making a spunbond nonwoven textile from endless crimped continuous filaments, the apparatus comprising:
a spinneret for making bicomponent or multicomponent filaments having an eccentric core-sheath configuration whose sheaths seen axially of the filament have constant thicknesses of 0.1 to 5 Φm over at least 20% of their outer surfaces; and a mesh belt for receiving the filaments from the spinneret.Cited by (0)
