Abstract

The invention relates to a cooling system (100), wherein the cooling system (100) has: a refrigeration circuit which has an evaporator (101), a compressor (102), a pressure reduction device (107), a gas cooler (103), and a line system (104) which connects the evaporator (101), the compressor, and the gas cooler to one another, a refrigerant in the refrigeration circuit, and a cooling device, which is additional to the refrigeration circuit, for cooling the gas cooler. The application also relates to a corresponding laboratory instrument (300).

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A laboratory device ( 300 ) having a cooling system ( 100 ), wherein the cooling system ( 100 ) comprises:
 a refrigeration circuit which comprises an evaporator ( 101 ), a compressor ( 102 ), a pressure reduction device ( 107 ), a gas cooler ( 103 ), and a line system ( 104 ) which connects the evaporator ( 101 ), the compressor, and the gas cooler to one another, a refrigerant in the refrigeration circuit, and a cooling device that is additional to the refrigeration circuit, for cooling the gas cooler.

         2 . The laboratory device ( 300 ) according to claim 1 , wherein the refrigerant is carbon dioxide.

         3 . The laboratory device ( 300 ) according to claim 1 , wherein the refrigerant circuit is configured to perform a transcritical vapor compression cycle.

         4 . The laboratory device ( 300 ) according to claim 1 , wherein the gas cooler is configured to cool the refrigerant to a temperature below 31° C., preferably below 30.98° C., more preferably below 30° C.

         5 . The laboratory device ( 300 ) according to claim 1 , wherein the additional cooling device comprises a Peltier element.

         6 . The laboratory device ( 300 ) according to  claim 1 , wherein the additional cooling device comprises a heat pump ( 201 ).

         7 . The laboratory device ( 300 ) according to claim 6 , wherein the additional cooling device comprises a heat transfer medium, wherein the additional cooling device comprises a transport device ( 205 ) which is configured to thermally couple the refrigeration circuit and the heat pump by means of the heat transfer medium.

         8 . The laboratory device ( 300 ) according to  claim 7 , wherein the cooling system comprises a control device ( 112 ),
 wherein the control device is configured to operate the additional cooling device in such a way that the refrigerant in the gas cooler is in a subcritical state.

         9 . The laboratory device ( 300 ) according to  claim 8 ,
 wherein the refrigeration circuit has a multi-stage design, wherein the additional cooling device comprises a secondary heat transfer medium, wherein the additional cooling device comprises a secondary transport device ( 26 ) which is configured to generate a flow in the secondary heat transfer medium in order to cool the heat pump, wherein the control device is configured to detect at least one of the following system parameters:
 a temperature of the refrigerant before, after and/or in the gas cooler;
 a pressure of the refrigerant before, after and/or in the gas cooler;
 a temperature of the refrigerant between the compressor and the evaporator;
 a pressure of the refrigerant between the compressor and the evaporator;
 a temperature of the refrigerant between the evaporator and the expansion valve;
 a pressure of the refrigerant between the evaporator and the expansion valve;
 a temperature of the ambient atmosphere;
 a temperature of the heat transfer medium in the flow direction after the heat pump;
 a power consumption of the heat pump;
 a power consumption and/or delivery amount of the transport device;
 a power consumption and/or delivery amount of the secondary transport device.

         10 . The laboratory device ( 300 ) according to claim 1 , wherein the laboratory device is a centrifuge.
