Oral nicotine product and system for providing oral nicotine flavor including the oral nicotine product

Abstract

An oral nicotine product is provided, including: a first electrode area and a second electrode area; an ingestible battery configured to provide a current to the first and the second electrode areas; and a flavor material containing nicotine. A system configured for providing an oral nicotine flavor with variable taste perception to a user is also provided, the system including: the oral nicotine product; and an external device configured to remotely control the oral nicotine product.

         16 . An oral nicotine product, comprising:
 a first electrode area and a second electrode area;   an ingestible battery configured to provide a current to the first and the second electrode areas; and   a flavor material containing nicotine.   
     
     
         17 . The oral nicotine product according to  claim 16 , wherein the ingestible battery is configured to be activated by water. 
     
     
         18 . The oral nicotine product according to  claim 16 , further comprising a communication element configured to provide a wireless communication with an external device.

The oral nicotine product according to  claim 18 , further comprising a control element configured for one or more of: processing user preferences about taste perception, processing data about the current provided by the battery, and processing data about a frequency provided by the battery. 
     
     
         20 . The oral nicotine product according to  claim 16 , wherein the ingestible battery is further configured to provide one or both of a variable magnitude of current and a variable frequency to the first and the second electrode areas to provide one or more of a salty taste perception, a sweet taste perception, a sour taste perception, or a bitter taste perception. 
     
     
         21 . The oral nicotine product according to  claim 16 , wherein the ingestible battery comprises an outer water-soluble casing. 
     
     
         22 . The oral nicotine product according to  claim 16 , further comprising a hollow body. 
     
     
         23 . The oral nicotine product according to  claim 22 , wherein the hollow body comprises a central part, a first end part, and a second end part, the first and the second end parts being separated by the central part. 
     
     
         24 . The oral nicotine product according to  claim 23 , wherein the central part comprises the flavor material containing nicotine. 
     
     
         25 . The oral nicotine product according to  claim 24 , wherein the central part comprises one or both of an absorbent material including the flavor material, or a plant-based material comprising nicotine. 
     
     
         26 . The oral nicotine product according to  claim 16 , wherein the ingestible battery comprises a reservoir of electrolyte, the reservoir being configured to release the electrolyte upon contact with water. 
     
     
         27 . The oral nicotine product according to  claim 16 , wherein one or both of the first electrode area and the second electrode area comprises one or more of:
 semiconducting polymers, polystyrene silver.   
     
     
         28 . A system configured for providing an oral nicotine flavor with variable taste perception to a user, the system comprising:
 an oral nicotine product according to  claim 16 ; and   an external device configured to remotely control the oral nicotine product.

The system according to  claim 28 , wherein the external device is further configured to control one or both of current and frequency provided by the ingestible battery to provide one or more of a salty taste perception, a sweet taste perception, a sour taste perception, or a bitter taste perception. 
     
     
         30 . The system according to  claim 28 , wherein the external device is an electronic handheld device.
