Prayer and meditation stand

Abstract

A modular prayer and meditation stand is provided that can include a base, a shelf, a prayer and meditation rail, a votive candle holder, votive candle rings, a kneeler, a kneeler with seat, a meditation platform, an accessory holder, one or more interchangeable icons, accessory shelves, an art/document/tablet holder, electronic communication devices, lamps, lighting, decorative panels, and other accoutrements. Combining some or all these elements, into one convenient assembly that is compact in size and can be used in a home or private space environments as an attractive piece of reconfigurable furniture complete and functional in its intended use for prayer, worship, and meditation.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A modular apparatus for prayer and meditation comprising:
 a base having a top, front and back, and a left side and a right side, the base comprising a plurality of vertical members, a plurality of horizontal members, and a pair of brackets, said horizontal members perpendicularly interconnected with said vertical members,   said vertical members having a vertical member axis extending generally along a lengthwise direction of said vertical member having one or more sides containing a plurality of holes,   said horizontal members having a horizontal member axis extending generally along a lengthwise direction of said horizontal member having one or more sides with at least two horizontal members containing a plurality of holes,   said brackets having a first planar surface and a second planar surface, each having an inner face and an outer face, the first planar surface and the second planar surface being integrally formed and oriented at a 90° angle relative to each other along a common edge, with one planar surface intersecting at least one vertical member and one horizontal member and a second planar surface containing a plurality of holes,   wherein none of said vertical members and said horizontal members are collinear with each other,   and wherein each of said holes is configured for interchangeably fastening a plurality of accessories to the base.   
     
     
         2 . The modular apparatus for prayer and meditation of  claim 1 , further comprising an accessory holder attached atop a highest horizontal member of the base, the accessory holder configured for interchangeably securing the plurality of accessories to the base. 
     
     
         3 . The modular apparatus for prayer and meditation of  claim 2 , wherein the interchangeable accessories comprise at least one selected from the group consisting of icons, cross, cross with support tabs, crucifix, accessory shelf, art/document/tablet holder, and lamps, each of the accessories having a vertical upright member protruding through a perpendicular flange at its bottom end, the vertical upright member configured to be received within the accessory holder. 
     
     
         4 . The modular apparatus for prayer and meditation of  claim 1 , wherein the interchangeable accessories comprise at least one selected from the group consisting of icons, cross, cross with support tabs, crucifix, accessory shelf, art/document/tablet holder, and lamps, each of the accessories having a vertical upright member protruding upright from an apparatus of an “H” channel configuration, the vertical upright member configured to be received interchangeably connectable therewith with at least one of the horizontal members. 
     
     
         5 . The modular apparatus for prayer and meditation of  claim 1 , wherein the interchangeable accessories comprise at least one selected from the group consisting of icons, cross, cross with support tabs, crucifix, accessory shelf, art/document/tablet holder, and lamps, each having a vertical upright member protruding upright from a top plane of the highest horizontal member, the vertical upright member configured to be received permanently connectable therewith with at least one of the horizontal members. 
     
     
         6 . The modular apparatus for prayer and meditation of  claim 1 , further comprising a prayer and meditation rail connected to the at least two brackets, configured for arm support. 
     
     
         7 . The modular apparatus for prayer and meditation of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one votive candle holder, configured for holding objects used in prayer and meditation. 
     
     
         8 . The modular apparatus for prayer and meditation of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one shelf, configured for holding objects. 
     
     
         9 . The modular apparatus for prayer and meditation of  claim 8 , wherein the shelf is supported by intermediary horizontal members. 
     
     
         10 . The modular apparatus for prayer and meditation of  claim 1 , further comprising a kneeler support, configured for connecting and stabilizing a kneeler. 
     
     
         11 . The modular apparatus for prayer and meditation of  claim 1 , further comprising a hinge, configured for articulating a kneeler. 
     
     
         12 . The modular apparatus for prayer and meditation of  claim 1 , further comprising a kneeler, configured for elevated support. 
     
     
         13 . The modular apparatus for prayer and meditation of  claim 1 , further comprising a kneeler with seat, configured for elevated support. 
     
     
         14 . The modular apparatus for prayer and meditation of  claim 1 , further comprising a meditation platform, configured for full body support. 
     
     
         15 . The modular apparatus for prayer and meditation of  claim 1 , further comprising an apparatus for power/lighting/data, configured for enhancing sensory connection. 
     
     
         16 . The modular apparatus for prayer and meditation of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one extender, configured for elevating and leveling a base. 
     
     
         17 . The modular apparatus for prayer and meditation of  claim 1 , further comprising interchangeable accoutrements, configured for ornamental enhancement. 
     
     
         18 . The modular apparatus for prayer and meditation of  claim 17 , wherein the interchangeable accoutrements are front and back, and left side and right side panels. 
     
     
         19 . The modular apparatus for prayer and meditation of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one ring, arrangeable configured for isolating and organizing objects used in prayer and meditation. 
     
     
         20 . The modular apparatus for prayer and meditation of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one fastener, configured for fastening to a configured hole.
