Refrigerator

Abstract

A refrigerator according to the present disclosure includes a storage chamber configured to store food, a cooler configured to supply cold to the storage chamber, a first temperature sensor configured to sense the temperature in the storage chamber, a first tray configured to form a portion of an ice making cell that is a space in which water is phase-changed into ice by the cold, a second tray configured to form another portion of the ice making cell, a water supply part configured to supply water to the ice making cell, a second temperature sensor configured to sense the temperature of water or ice in the ice making cell, a heater configured to be positioned adjacent to at least one of the first tray and the second tray, and a controller configured to control the heater, in which the controller controls the degree of supercooling of water to be reduced in at least one or more of a first section from the completion of a preparation step for water supply until the start of the water supply, a second section from the start of the water supply until the completion of the water supply, and a third sections from the start of the ice making process before the ice making process is completed.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An ice maker comprising:
 a first tray assembly having a first portion of a cell; and   a second tray assembly having a second portion of the cell, the first portion and the second portion being configured to define a space formed by the cell, wherein a portion of liquid is received in the first portion and another portion of the liquid is received in the second portion,   wherein the first tray assembly comprises a first tray defining the first portion of the cell,   wherein the second tray assembly comprises a second tray defining the second portion of the cell and a second tray case supporting the second tray, and   wherein the second tray case comprises a second tray cover disposed at one surface of the second tray, and the second tray cover includes an opening into which a portion of the second tray is inserted.   
     
     
         2 . The ice maker of  claim 1 , wherein the second tray includes a circumferential wall surrounding a portion of the first tray in a state of contacting the first tray. 
     
     
         3 . The ice maker of  claim 2 , wherein the second tray cover includes a portion covering at least a portion of the circumferential wall. 
     
     
         4 . The ice maker of  claim 1 , wherein the second tray includes:
 a first portion defining at least a portion of the cell; and   a second portion having a portion extending from a predetermined point of the first portion,   wherein the second tray cover supports at least portion of the second portion of the second tray.   
     
     
         5 . The ice maker of  claim 4 , wherein the second portion of the second tray includes:
 a first extension part extending from a first point of the first portion; and   a second extension part extending from a second point of the first portion.   
     
     
         6 . The ice maker of  claim 5 , wherein the second tray cover supports the first extension part of the second portion and the second extension part of the second portion. 
     
     
         7 . The ice maker of  claim 1 , wherein when the second tray is inserted into the second tray cover, a portion of the second tray protrudes from the second tray cover through the opening. 
     
     
         8 . The ice maker of  claim 1 , wherein the second tray cover includes:
 a first wall having a first surface forming a first portion of the opening; and   a second wall having a second surface forming a second portion of the opening.   
     
     
         9 . The ice maker of  claim 8 , wherein the first surface of the first wall has a portion rounded away from the opening in a first direction and the second surface of the second wall has a portion extending in the first direction, the first portion of the cell and the second portion of the cell are arranged in the first direction. 
     
     
         10 . The ice maker of  claim 8 , wherein the first portion of the opening has a different curvature from the second portion of the opening. 
     
     
         11 . The ice maker of  claim 8 , wherein the first portion of the opening has a different curvature from the second portion of the opening according to a circumference of the opening. 
     
     
         12 . The ice maker of  claim 8 , wherein the second portion of the opening has a curved portion, and the first portion of the opening has a straight portion according to a circumference of the opening. 
     
     
         13 . The ice maker of  claim 8 , wherein the second tray case comprises a second tray supporter disposed at the other surface of the second tray, and each of the first wall and the second wall is provided with a coupling part to be coupled to the second tray and the second tray supporter, the coupling part protruding from each of the first surface of the first wall and the second surface of the second wall. 
     
     
         14 . The ice maker of  claim 13 , comprising a coupling member inserted into the coupling part to pass through the second tray and then is coupled to the coupling part. 
     
     
         15 . The ice maker of  claim 8 , wherein one or more of the first wall and the second wall is provided with a coupling part to be coupled to the second tray. 
     
     
         16 . The ice maker of  claim 8 , wherein the second tray case comprises a second tray supporter disposed at the other surface of the second tray, and one or more of the first wall and the second wall is provided with a coupling part to be coupled to the second tray supporter. 
     
     
         17 . The ice maker of  claim 8 , wherein the second tray case comprises a second tray supporter disposed at the other surface of the second tray, and one or more of the first wall and the second wall is provided with a coupling part to be coupled to the second tray and the second tray supporter. 
     
     
         18 . The ice maker of  claim 8 , wherein at least one of the first wall or the second wall includes a coupling part protruding from at least one of the first surface of the first wall or the second surface of the second wall. 
     
     
         19 . The ice maker of  claim 18 , comprising a coupling member inserted into the coupling part to pass through the second tray and then is coupled to the coupling part. 
     
     
         20 . A refrigerator comprising:
 a storage chamber configured to store food; and   
       an ice maker of  claim 1 .
