Abstract

A vehicular dashboard mounted hat hanging fixture is disclosed where the improved hat hanging fixture has the means of securing a hat on a vehicular dashboard through a receiving portion in a way that minimally limits the driver's visibility and provides easy access to the hat while preserving hat shape. In one embodiment, a hat is secured on a vehicular dashboard through a receiving portion comprised of a single piece mounting device. In another embodiment, the present invention provides a means of preserving hat shape through two vertical portions that are angled in a way that supports the hat from the inside.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A device for securing a hat comprising:
 a single-length body
having a horizontal portion and two vertical portions
where said vertical portions curve to extend from said horizontal portion in an upward direction.

2 . The device of claim 1 wherein said vertical portions extend from the polar ends of said horizontal portion.

3 . The device of claim 2 , wherein said vertical portions are positioned at approximately a 45-degree angle as measured from the horizontal axis.

4 . The device of claim 2 , wherein the position of said vertical portions provides internal support for a hat to maintain its shape.

5 . The device as in claim 1 wherein said single-length body is composed of a rigid material.

6 . The device as in claim 5 wherein said rigid material comprises a polymer, metal, wood, or composites.

7 . The device as in claim 1 wherein said horizontal portion is mounted to the vehicular dash through attachment means.

8 . The device of claim 7 wherein said attachment means comprise adhesive, hook and loop, fasteners, screws and bolts.

9 . The device of claim 7 wherein said single-length body is larger than said attachment means.
