Tree Stand Urinal Device

Abstract

A tree stand urinal device is disclosed which is a portable urinal system for hunters. The tree stand urinal device comprises a body component that is configured in an elongated cylindrical shaped canister which is open at the top end and tapers at the bottom end to a small opening. The small opening is attached to approximately 30 feet of hose that travels toward ground level. The open end of the tube can be buried into the ground. The open top end is secured via a screw-on or twist-on cap. Further, there is an attachment mechanism on the lid to hang the device from a tree stand. Users can urinate into the canister and have it drain through the tube and into the ground to prevent human scent from being detected by potential game and scaring it away.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A tree stand urinal device that provides a user with a portable urinal for hunters, the tree stand urinal device comprising:
 a body component; and   a hose;   wherein the hose is secured to the body component;   wherein an open end of the hose is buried in ground; and   further wherein users can urinate in the body component and have it drain through the hose and into the ground to prevent human scent from being detected by potential game.   
     
     
         2 . The tree stand urinal device of  claim 1 , wherein the body component comprises an attachment mechanism that secures the body component to a tree or tree stand. 
     
     
         3 . The tree stand urinal device of  claim 2 , wherein the body component has a top end, a bottom end, and a curved sidewall. 
     
     
         4 . The tree stand urinal device of  claim 3 , wherein the body component is a generally elongated cylindrical shaped canister which is open at the top end and tapers at the bottom end to a discharge opening. 
     
     
         5 . The tree stand urinal device of  claim 4 , wherein the body component has a handle. 
     
     
         6 . The tree stand urinal device of  claim 5 , wherein the open top end of the body component is secured via a lid that screws on and a strap to secure the lid to the body component during use. 
     
     
         7 . The tree stand urinal device of  claim 6 , wherein the lid hinges about a pin and pivots between a closed position and an open position. 
     
     
         8 . The tree stand urinal device of  claim 7 , wherein the lid includes a lever having a locking mechanism slidably mounted thereon. 
     
     
         9 . The tree stand urinal device of  claim 8 , wherein a flexible gasket is disposed at the top end of the body component between the body component and the lid. 
     
     
         10 . The tree stand urinal device of  claim 9  further comprising a plurality of indicia. 
     
     
         11 . The tree stand urinal device of  claim 10 , wherein the tree stand urinal device is manufactured in various colors, or camouflaged to blend in. 
     
     
         12 . The tree stand urinal device of  claim 11 , wherein the discharge opening is adapted to receive an upper end of the hose. 
     
     
         13 . The tree stand urinal device of  claim 12 , wherein a lower end of the hose is preferably buried underground to contain odor of urine. 
     
     
         14 . The tree stand urinal device of  claim 13 , wherein a bottommost section of the hose includes a plurality of drain holes. 
     
     
         15 . A tree stand urinal device that provides a user with a portable urinal for hunters, the tree stand urinal device comprising:
 a body component has a top end, a bottom end, and a curved sidewall; and   a hose with an upper end and a lower end;   wherein the body component is a generally elongated cylindrical shaped canister which is open at the top end and tapers at the bottom end to a discharge opening;   wherein the open top end of the body component is secured via a lid that screws on and a strap to secure the lid to the body component during use;   wherein a flexible gasket is disposed at the top end of the body component between the body component and the lid;   wherein the body component comprises an attachment mechanism that secures the body component to a tree or tree stand;   wherein the discharge opening is adapted to receive the upper end of the hose;   wherein the lower end of the hose is preferably buried underground to contain odor of urine;   wherein the tree stand urinal device is manufactured in various colors, or camouflaged to blend in; and   further wherein users can urinate in the body component and have it drain through the hose and into the ground to prevent human scent from being detected by potential game.   
     
     
         16 . The tree stand urinal device of  claim 15 , wherein the body component has a handle. 
     
     
         17 . The tree stand urinal device of  claim 15 , wherein the lid hinges about a pin and pivots between a closed position and an open position. 
     
     
         18 . The tree stand urinal device of  claim 17 , wherein the lid includes a lever having a locking mechanism slidably mounted thereon. 
     
     
         19 . The tree stand urinal device of  claim 15 , wherein a bottommost section of the hose includes a plurality of drain holes. 
     
     
         20 . A method of expelling urine without having to get in and out of the tree stand, the method comprising the following steps:
 providing a tree stand urinal device comprising a body component with an open top end secured with a lid and a tapered bottom end that is secured to a hose that reaches the ground;   twisting-off the lid for use;   urinating in the open top end, as needed;   expelling urine through the hose and into the ground; and   replacing the lid and securing the device to a tree stand when not in use.
