Traffic identification apparatus, switch, router, traffic identification method, and traffic identification program
Abstract
A traffic identification device includes a first acquisition module, a first setting module, a second acquisition module, and a second setting module. The first acquisition module acquires first packet identification information for identifying a packet with a first granularity and a network identifier associated with the first packet identification information. The first setting module sets the first packet identification information and the network identifier to a switch connected to a router for receiving packets from a user base such that the switch assigns the network identifier to a packet matching the first packet identification information. The second acquisition module acquires second packet identification information for identifying a packet transmitted from the user base with a second granularity coarser than the first granularity. The second setting module sets the second packet identification information to the router.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A traffic identification device comprising:
a first acquisition module, comprising one or more processors, configured to acquire first packet identification information for identifying a packet with a first granularity and a network identifier associated with the first packet identification information; a first setting module, comprising one or more processors, configured to set the first packet identification information and the network identifier to a switch connected to a router for receiving packets from a user base such that the switch assigns the network identifier to a packet matching the first packet identification information; a second acquisition module, comprising one or more processors, configured to acquire second packet identification information for identifying a packet transmitted from the user base with a second granularity coarser than the first granularity; and a second setting module, comprising one or more processors, configured to set the second packet identification information to the router such that the router transfers a packet matching the second packet identification information to the switch.
2 . The traffic identification device according to claim 1 , wherein the first acquisition module is configured to receive header information of a packet as the first packet identification information.
3 . The traffic identification device according to claim 2 , wherein the first acquisition module is configured to acquire, as the header information, at least one of a packet transmission source address, a destination address, a transmission port number, a reception port number, or a protocol number.
4 . The traffic identification device according to claim 1 , wherein the second acquisition modules is configured to receive, as the second packet identification information, a network identifier of a packet transmitted from the user base.
5 . A switch comprising:
a first reception module, implemented by one or more processors, configured to receive packet identification information for identifying a packet and a network identifier associated with the packet identification information; a second reception module, implemented by one or more processors, configured to receive a first packet from a router; a determination unit, implemented by one or more processors, configured to determine whether the first packet matches the packet identification information; an assignment module, implemented by one or more processors, configured to assign the network identifier to the first packet in response to a determination that the first packet matches the packet identification information; and a transmission module, implemented by one or more processors, configured to transmit a second packet that is the first packet to which the network identifier has been assigned to the router.
6 . A router comprising:
a first reception module, implemented by one or more processors, configured to receive packet identification information for identifying a packet transmitted from a user base; a second reception module, implemented by one or more processors, configured to receive a first packet from the user base; a determination unit, implemented by one or more processors, configured to determine whether the first packet matches the packet identification information; a transfer module, implemented by one or more processors, configured to transfer the first packet to a switch in response to a determination that the first packet matches the packet identification information; and a third reception module, implemented by one or more processors, configured to receive a second packet that is the first packet to which a new network identifier has been assigned from the switch.
