Fitting, piece of bathroom or kitchen furniture comprising said fitting, and method for opening and closing a drain in a piece of bathroom or kitchen furniture
Abstract
A fitting ( 10 ), in particular for a piece of kitchen or bathroom furniture ( 40 ), having a main body ( 11 ) which in the assembled state of the fitting ( 10 ) protrudes substantially perpendicularly from an assembly face ( 30 ), and having an activation device for a drain, which activation device is disposed on the fitting ( 10 ) and interacts with a force-transmission element ( 13 ) by which a drain plug ( 20 ) is able to be operated, and which activation device includes a handling element ( 13 ) which is disposed on the fitting ( 10 ) so as to be movable, preferably rotatable or pivotable, relative to the rest of the fitting ( 10 ). The fitting ( 10 ) is distinguished in that the handling element ( 13 ) is movable, preferably rotatable or pivotable, about an activation axis which is substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis (L) of the main body ( 11 ), so as to mechanically act on the force-transmission element ( 15 ).

4 . The fitting ( 10 ) as claimed in claim 3 , wherein the external circumferential face is circular-cylindrical.
5 . The fitting ( 10 ) as claimed in claim 4 , wherein the external circumferential face has a display structure ( 13 a ) for displaying a movement position relative to a remainder of the fitting ( 10 ).
6 . The fitting ( 10 ) as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the force-transmission element ( 15 ) is at least in portions rigid, and/or is at least in portions flexible.
7 . The fitting ( 10 ) as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the force-transmission element ( 15 ) is at least in portions guided within a casing ( 15 b , 16 a ).
8 . The fitting ( 10 ) as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the force-transmission element ( 15 ) has a sliding part ( 15 d ), the sliding part ( 15 d ) is movable within the casing ( 15 b , 16 a ), and an elastomer element which ensures a sufficient degree of friction in terms of the casing ( 15 b , 16 a ) disposed on the sliding part ( 15 d ).
9 . The fitting ( 10 ) as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the force-transmission element comprises a plurality of at least two parts ( 15 . 1 , 15 . 2 ), which parts ( 15 . 1 , 15 . 2 ) are releasably connected or connectable to one another.
10 . The fitting ( 10 ) as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the force-transmission element ( 15 ) is operatively connected mechanically to the handling element ( 13 ) at a spacing from the activation axis (B).
11 . The fitting ( 10 ) as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the handling element ( 13 ) on an internal side thereof facing the fitting main body ( 11 ) has a clearance ( 17 ), the force-transmission element ( 15 ) engaging in said clearance ( 17 ) by way of a fastening end ( 15 a ).
12 . The fitting ( 10 ) as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the force-transmission element ( 15 ) on the fastening end ( 15 a ) thereof has a pin ( 18 ) which extends perpendicularly to the force-transmission element ( 15 ).
13 . The fitting ( 10 ) as claimed in claim 12 , wherein the clearance ( 17 ) is curved, and a profile of the clearance ( 17 ) deviates from a profile of a circle which is concentric with the activation axis (B).
14 . The fitting ( 10 ) as claimed in claim 13 , wherein the profile of the clearance ( 17 ) is longer than a corresponding dimension of the fastening end ( 15 a ).
15 . The fitting ( 10 ) as claimed in claim 14 , wherein the fastening end ( 15 a ) is guided in the clearance ( 17 ) when the handling element ( 13 ) is rotationally activated.
16 . A piece of bathroom or kitchen furniture ( 40 ), comprising:
a water basin ( 42 ) which has a drain that is closed, or closeable, by a drain plug ( 20 ); an assembly face ( 30 ) for a fitting ( 10 ); the fitting ( 10 ) according to claim 1 assembled on the assembly face ( 30 ), and by way of the force-transmission element ( 15 ) is connected to at least one of the drain plug ( 20 ) or an opening and closing device ( 21 ) for the drain plug ( 20 ); and wherein the activation axis (B) of the fitting ( 10 ) is preferably oriented substantially parallel to the assembly face ( 30 ).
17 . A method for opening and closing a drain in a piece of bathroom or kitchen furniture ( 40 ) having a water basin ( 42 ), which drain is closed, or closeable, by a drain plug ( 20 ), the method comprising:
a) attaching the fitting ( 10 ) as claimed in claim 1 to an assembly face ( 30 ) of the piece of furniture ( 40 ); b) connecting the force-transmission element ( 15 ) of the fitting ( 10 ) to at least or of the drain plug ( 20 ) or an opening and closing device ( 21 ) for the drain plug ( 20 ); and c) moving the handling element ( 13 ) of the fitting ( 10 ) about the activation axis (B) of the fitting ( 10 ), wherein the activation axis (B) of the fitting ( 10 ) is oriented so as to be substantially parallel to the assembly face ( 30 ).Cited by (0)
