Abstract
A display case door having an insulated panel assembly, a support plate, an electronic display assembly, and a hanger bracket. The insulated panel assembly has a door frame that extends about and is coupled to the insulated panel assembly. The support plate is coupled to a top rail of the door frame and has at least one pin. The electronic display assembly is coupled to the door frame. The hanger bracket is coupled to a top surface of the electronic display assembly and has a slot sized to accept the pin. The electronic display assembly is at least partially supported in the door frame by the support plate and the hanger bracket.

2 . A display case door comprising:
an insulated panel assembly comprising a door frame that extends about the insulated panel assembly; an electronic display configured to hang from a top rail of the door frame; and a plurality of mounting blocks coupling the electronic display to at least one side rail of the door frame.
3 . The display case door of claim 2 , wherein the plurality of mounting blocks comprise:
a first mounting block coupling a left side of the electronic display to a left side of the door frame; and a second mounting block coupling a right side of the electronic display to a right side of the door frame.
4 . The display case door of claim 2 , wherein the plurality of mounting blocks span across a gap between the electronic display and the door frame.
5 . The display case door of claim 2 , wherein each mounting block of the plurality of mounting blocks comprises:
a rectangular body defined by a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, the rectangular body defining a plane; and a pair of side rims extending from the rectangular body parallel to the plane and offset from the first surface.
6 . The display case door of claim 5 , wherein each mounting block comprises a plurality of ribs extending from the second surface of the rectangular body.
7 . The display case door of claim 5 , wherein each mounting block of the plurality of mounting blocks comprises a plurality of slots extending through the mounting block, each slot of the plurality of slots sized to accept a fastener coupling the mounting block to the door frame.
8 . The display case door of claim 7 , wherein the plurality of slots is sized to accommodate lateral movement of mounting block relative to the fastener.
9 . The display case door of claim 7 , wherein one slot of the plurality of slots extends through one side rim of the pair of side rims and another slot of the plurality of slots extends through the other slot of the pair of slots.
10 . The display case door of claim 7 , wherein the mounting block comprises a plurality of threaded mounting holes extending through the mounting block, each threaded mounting hole of the plurality of threaded mounting holes sized to accept a threaded fastener to couple the mounting block to the electronic display.
11 . The display case door of claim 10 , wherein the plurality of threaded mounting holes is positioned on opposite ends of the rectangular body from the plurality of slots.
12 . The display case door of claim 10 , wherein:
each mounting block comprises a plurality of ribs extending from a side of the rectangular body; and at least one threaded mounting hole of the plurality of threaded mounting holes extends through at least one rib of the plurality of ribs.
13 . The display case door of claim 2 , wherein the plurality of mounting blocks comprises extruded aluminum.
14 . The display case door of claim 3 , wherein each mounting block of the plurality of mounting blocks are further defined by a width, wherein the width of each mounting block of the plurality of mounting blocks is the same.
15 . The display case door of claim 3 , wherein each mounting block of the plurality of mounting blocks are further defined by a width, wherein the widths of the mounting blocks on the left side of the insulated panel assembly are different that the widths of the mounting blocks on the right side of the insulated panel assembly.
16 . The display case door of claim 2 , further comprising a hanger assembly configured to hang the electronic display from the top rail of the door frame, the hanger assembly comprising:
a support plate comprising a least one pin; and a hanger bracket comprising a slot sized to accept the pin.
17 . The display case door of claim 2 , further comprising a hinge bracket configured to couple between at least one of the mounting blocks and the electronic display.
18 . The display case door of claim 17 , wherein the hinge bracket comprises:
an outside hinge component configured to couple to the mounting block, the outside hinge component comprising an outside leaf comprising a base and a leg coupled to the base, the base positioned at a right angle to the leg, the base coupled to the mounting block; an inside hinge component configured to couple to outside component and the electronic display; and a hinge pin coupling the inside hinge component to the outside hinge component, the inside hinge component configured to rotate about the hinge pin relative to the outside hinge component.
19 . An electronic display hanger assembly comprising:
at least two mounting blocks configured to couple an electronic display to a pair of opposite side rails of a door frame of a display case door of a refrigerated enclosure.
20 . The electronic display hanger assembly of claim 19 , further comprising a hinge bracket configured to couple between at least one of the mounting blocks and the door frame.
21 . The electronic display hanger assembly of claim 19 , further comprising:
a support plate comprising a least one pin, the support plate configured to couple to a top rail of the door frame; and a hanger bracket configured to couple to a top end of the electronic display, the hanger bracket comprising a slot sized to accept a pin of the support plate.
22 . A method of installing an electronic display in a display case door comprising an insulated panel assembly, comprising:
positioning the electronic display in front of the insulated panel assembly of the display case door; aligning the electronic display to the insulated panel assembly; moving the electronic display toward the insulated panel assembly; hanging the electronic display on a top rail of a door frame of the insulated panel assembly; and securing the electronic display to the insulated panel assembly by a plurality of mounting brackets extending between side rails of the door frame and the electronic display.
23 . The method of claim 22 , further comprising:
un-securing one mounting block on only one side the electronic display; and rotating the electronic display horizontally about the remaining secured mounting block to separate the one side of the electronic display from the insulated panel assembly.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
