Abstract

A toy which rapidly spins and releases a playing card held by a suction cup. The card is freed from the suction cup during its motion by a spring-loaded rod and subsequently spins to a stop in a random position relative to another card. In conjunction with markings on the cards, this generates a random effect outcome for a trading card game in the same manner as a roulette wheel. The trading card game features strategic elements in addition to said element of chance facilitated by the toy.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:

1 . A handheld toy comprising the combination of the following two elements in its construction:
 a) A suction cup affixed to a mechanical apparatus which spins the suction cup around its axis of symmetry; b) A mechanical release capable of removing cards from said suction cup while it is spinning.

2 . A method of playing a card game comprising randomized gameplay elements via the use of the following features:
 a) Sections differentiated by shape, color, words, and/or alphanumeric symbols printed on cards which per the rules of the game function in a manner identical to the zones on a roulette wheel, whereas the section which closest aligns with a target after the card is rotated to a random angle determines the resulting game effect; b) Another game piece which serves as the alignment target for said differentiated

3 . A method of playing a card game further comprising the product as in claim 1 and the method outlined in claim 2 wherein said toy is used to facilitate the rotation of said cards to random angles.

4 . An interactive electronic software, website, or application comprising a digital version of the method outlined in claim 3 , playable on a computer or other device with an electronic display screen alone against an artificial opponent controlled by the computer or with two or more other players, whereas the function of the product in claim 1 is performed instead by the computer.
