Game board and methods of play

Abstract

A game board is disclosed, wherein the game board capable of retaining at least one dart thrown at a front surface of the game board. The game board is partitioned into a plurality of segments each representing a playing card value. Each of the plurality of segments are divided into four sub-segments each corresponding to a suit of the playing card value. A suit key positioned on the front surface of the game board.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A game board, comprising:
 a game board capable of retaining at least one dart thrown at a front surface of the game board, the game board partitioned into a plurality of segments each representing a playing card value, wherein each of the plurality of segments are divided into four sub-segments each corresponding to a suit of the playing card value; and   a suit key positioned on the front surface of the game board.   
     
     
         2 . The game board of  claim 1 , wherein the suits comprise a spade, a heart, a club, and a diamond. 
     
     
         3 . The game board of  claim 1 , wherein the playing card value is displayed on the front surface. 
     
     
         4 . The game board of  claim 1 , wherein the game board is electronic. 
     
     
         5 . The game board of  claim 4 , wherein the electronic game board is in communication with an application program in communication with a network. 
     
     
         6 . The game board of  claim 5 , wherein the application program enables a user to compete against other users in communication with the network. 
     
     
         7 . The game board of  claim 1 , wherein the game board is constructed of wood. 
     
     
         8 . A game board, comprising:
 a game board capable of retaining at least one dart thrown at a front surface of the game board, the game board partitioned into a plurality of segments each representing a playing card value, wherein each of the plurality of segments are divided into four sub-segments each corresponding to a suit of the playing card value;   a suit key positioned on the front surface of the game board; and   a computer system in operable communication, via a network, to the game board, the computer system including a scoring module to receive score data from the game board and process the score for one or more users.   
     
     
         9 . The game board of  claim 8 , wherein the suits comprise a spade, a heart, a club, and a diamond. 
     
     
         10 . The game board of  claim 8 , wherein the playing card value is displayed on the front surface. 
     
     
         11 . The game board of  claim 8 , wherein the game board is electronic. 
     
     
         12 . The game board of  claim 11 , wherein the electronic game board is in communication with an application program in communication with the network. 
     
     
         13 . The game board of  claim 12 , wherein the application program enables a user to compete against other users in communication with the network. 
     
     
         14 . The game board of  claim 13 , wherein the scoring module is in operable communication with a display module to display a score of a game played by the one or more users. 
     
     
         15 . The game board of  claim 14 , wherein the application program is operable to lead the user through a plurality of methods of play. 
     
     
         16 . The game board of  claim 15 , further comprising a gameplay module in operable communication with the database engine to store the plurality of methods of play and permit user interaction with the plurality of methods of play. 
     
     
         17 . The game board of  claim 8 , wherein the game board is constructed of wood. 
     
     
         18 . A system for scoring gameplay on a game board, comprising:
 a device comprising:   a processor; and   a non-transitory, computer readable memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor upon a user selection, cause the device to:   score, via a scoring module, a plurality of user actions performed on a game board, the game board capable of retaining at least one dart thrown at a front surface of the game board, the game board partitioned into a plurality of segments each representing a playing card value, wherein each of the plurality of segments are divided into four sub-segments each corresponding to a suit of the playing card value; and   a suit key positioned on the front surface of the game board.
