Abstract

A hair drying device with noise reduction elements is disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a hair drying device may comprise an electric motor encased in a shroud. In some embodiments, an electric motor may be located in a handle of a hair dryer. In some embodiments, an electric motor is isolated from an inlet and an outlet by a sound dampening material.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A hair drying device, comprising:
 a housing comprising an inlet, an outlet, and a handle, wherein the housing is configured to house:
 an electric motor is located within the handle of the housing, wherein the electric motor is isolated from the inlet and the outlet by a sound dampening material;
 a plurality of fans comprising a first fan and a second fan electrically connected to the electric motor, wherein each fan of the plurality of fans are configured to rotate in a bidirectional manner;
 a heating element; and
 a battery configured to provide electrical power the electric motor and the heating element; and
   a display device located on the exterior of the housing, wherein the display device is configured to provide one or more alerts to a user related to a power level of the battery.

         2 . (canceled)

         3 . The hair drying device of claim 1 , wherein the heating element comprises one or more fins.

         4 . The hair drying device of claim 3 , wherein a length of the one or more fins extends parallel to the central axis of the housing.

         5 . The hair drying device of claim 1 , wherein the electric motor is a brushed DC motor.

         6 . The hair drying device of claim 1 , wherein the electric motor is capable of rotating the first fan and the second fan via a magnetic gear.

         7 . The hair drying device of claim 6 , wherein the magnetic gear comprises a right-angle drive.

         8 . (canceled)

         9 . The hair drying device of claim 1 , wherein the handle comprises the sound dampening material.

         10 . The hair drying device of claim 1 , further comprising a cooling mechanism configured to cool the electric motor.

         11 . The hair drying device of claim 1 , wherein the first fan and the second fan are each configured to operate at below about 15,000 RPM.

         12 . The hair drying device of claim 1 , wherein the hair drying device comprises a computing device configured to control a plurality of hair drying parameters.

         13 . The hair drying device of claim 12 , wherein the hair drying device comprises a display communicatively connected to the computing device configured to present the plurality of hair drying parameters.

         14 . A hair drying device, comprising:
 a housing comprising an inlet, an outlet, and a handle, wherein the housing is configured to house:
 an electric motor at least partially encased within a shroud; and;
 a plurality of fans comprising a first fan and a second fan electrically connected to the electric motor, wherein each fan of the plurality of fans are configured to rotate in a bidirectional manner;
 a heating element; and
 a battery configured to provide electrical power the electric motor and the heating element; and
   a display device located on the exterior of the housing, wherein the display device is configured to provide one or more alerts to a user related to a power level of the battery.

         15 . The hair drying device of claim 14 , wherein the heating element comprises one or more fins.

         16 . The hair drying device of claim 15 , wherein a length of the one or more fins extends parallel to the central axis of the housing.

         17 . The hair drying device of claim 14 , wherein the electric motor is a brushed DC motor.

         18 . The hair drying device of claim 14 , wherein the electric motor is capable of rotating the first fan and the second fan via one or more magnetic gears.

         19 . (canceled)

         20 . The hair drying device of claim 14 , wherein the first fan and the second fan are each configured to operate at below about 15,000 RPM.
