. The system according to claim 1 wherein the at least one well monitoring system is configured to be arranged or installed on wireline, slickline, coiled tubing, and/or drill pipe and to be lowered into the well.
. The system according to claim 1 wherein the at least one transmitter is a wireless transmitter and/or the at least one receiver is a wireless receiver.
. The system according to claim 1 wherein the system further comprises a sampler device configured for surface or downhole sampling.
. The system according to claim 1 wherein the system is configured to measure at least one property, condition and/or characteristic of a well, a well fluid and/or a component of at least one well fluid.
. The system according to claim 1 wherein the system is configured to monitor a well fluid condition and/or tracer release in a production well.
. The system according to claim 8 wherein the at least one tracer release system comprises one or more tracer apparatus configured to be positioned, arranged or installed downstream of one or more influx zones.
. The system according to claim 1 wherein the system is configured to monitor at least one property, condition and/or characteristic of a well and/or well fluid and/or tracer release in an injection and/or producer well.
. The system according to claim 10 wherein the at least one tracer release system comprises one or more tracer apparatus configured to be positioned, arranged or installed upstream of one or more injection zones.
. The system according to claim 1 wherein the at least one tracer release system is controlled by a control unit to selectively release tracer into the well.
. The system according to claim 1 wherein the tracer release system is configured to release at least one tracer.
. The system according to claim 1 wherein the system is a modular system.
. The system according to claim 1 wherein the at least one monitoring system comprises two or more tracer release systems.
. The system according to claim 1 comprising two or more monitoring systems.
. A method of monitoring a well, comprising;
providing at least one well monitoring system in the well, the at least one well monitoring system comprising:
at least one tracer release system;
at least one sensor system; and
at least one communication system comprising at least one transmitter and at least one receiver;
transmitting information from the at least one sensor system and/or at least one tracer release system to surface; receiving a control signal to control the operation of the at least one sensor system and/or at least one tracer release system.
. The method according to claim 17 comprising further measuring at least one property, condition and/or characteristic of a well, at least one well fluid, and/or a component of at least one well fluid.
. The method according to claim 18 wherein the at least one property, condition and/or characteristic of a well, at least one well fluid, and/or a component of at least one well fluid is selected from the group consisting of pressure, temperature, volume, density, flow rate, tracer type and/or tracer concentration.
. The method according to claim 17 wherein the well is a production well.
. The method according to claim 17 wherein the well is an injector well.
. The method according to claim 18 comprising measuring the at least one property, condition and/or characteristic of a well, at least one well fluid, and/or a component of at least one well fluid before, after and/or during the release of tracer from the at least one tracer release system.
. The method according to claim 17 further comprising releasing tracer from the at least one tracer release system in response to a command from surface, a command from a control unit or in response to a well condition.
. The method according to claim 18 comprising measuring the at least one property, condition and/or characteristic of a well, at least one well fluid, and/or a component of at least one well fluid downhole and/or at surface.
. The method according to claim 23 further comprising measuring a concentration of released tracer in at least one well fluid by sampling at one or more sampling times.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
