Abstract
An opening device for a package having a main body filled with a pourable product comprises a collar having an inner surface delimiting a flow channel for the pourable product and having a pouring outlet, a closure group coupled to the collar and configured to selectively open and close the pouring outlet and one or more annular protrusion elements extending from the inner surface and into the flow channel. The closure group comprises a closure configured to selectively open and close the pouring outlet when respectively in an opening position and a closing position and a sealing lip extending from the closure. The sealing lip extends into the flow channel with the closure in the closing position. The sealing lip interacts with at least one of the annular protrusion elements for sealing the pouring outlet in cooperation with the annular protrusion elements with the closure in the closing position.

the opening device comprises:
a collar having an inner surface delimiting a flow channel for the pourable product and having a pouring outlet;
a closure group coupled to the collar and configured to selectively open and close the pouring outlet; and
one or more annular protrusion elements extending from the inner surface and into the flow channel;
wherein the closure group comprises a closure configured to selectively open and close the pouring outlet when being respectively in an opening position and a closing position and a sealing lip extending from the closure; wherein the sealing lip extends into the flow channel with the closure being in the closing position; wherein the sealing lip interacts with at least one of the one or more annular protrusion elements for sealing the pouring outlet in cooperation with the annular protrusion elements with the closure being in the closing position.
2 . Opening device according to claim 1 , and comprising at least two annular protrusion elements;
wherein the annular protrusion elements are axially displaced from one another along a central axis of the collar.
3 . Opening device according to claim 2 , wherein each annular protrusion element comprises a tip portion;
wherein an imaginary cylinder surface contacts the respective tip portions of each annular protrusion element.
4 . Opening device according to claim 2 , wherein each annular protrusion element has a respective radial extension;
wherein the respective radial extensions of at least one annular protrusion element differs from the respective radial extension of the other annular protrusion elements.
5 . Opening device according to claim 1 , wherein at least one annular protrusion element is arranged adjacent to the pouring outlet.
6 . Opening device according to claim 1 , wherein the flow channel comprises a first zone extending from the pouring outlet and a second zone distinct from the first zone and extending from the first zone to an inlet opening of the collar;
wherein an extension of the first zone corresponds to at most one third of an extension of the flow channel from the pouring outlet to the inlet opening; wherein the one or more annular protrusion elements extend into the first zone of the flow channel.
7 . Opening device according to claim 1 , wherein each one of the one or more annular protrusion elements is integral to the inner surface.
8 . Opening device according to claim 1 , wherein the sealing lip comprises at least one curved portion.
9 . Opening device according to claim 1 , and further comprising a closing element arranged and/or being arrangeable within the flow channel and being configured to close the flow channel.
10 . Opening device according to claim 9 , wherein the closing element comprises a membrane wall rupturably fixed to the inner surface of the collar and a coupling structure extending from the membrane wall and operatively coupling the membrane wall to the closure.
11 . Opening device according to claim 1 , and further comprising a base frame configured to couple the opening device about a designated pour opening of the main body;
wherein the collar extends from the base frame.
12 . Opening device according to claim 1 , wherein the closure group comprises at least a coupling ring arranged about the collar;
wherein the closure is coupled to the coupling ring.
13 . Package filled and/or fillable with a pourable product and comprising at least one opening device according to claim 1 .
14 . Package according to claim 13 , wherein the package comprises a main body having a designated pour opening and being formed from a multilayer packaging material, wherein the opening device is coupled onto the main body and about the designated pour opening.
