Abstract

A lubricating oil composition, including: a base oil including an ester base oil and a hindered amine compound, where a content of the hindered amine compound is from 0.60 mass % to 10.0 mass % based on a total amount of the lubricating oil composition. An internal combustion engine installed in a hybrid system, the internal combustion engine filled with the lubricating oil composition. A method of lubricating an internal combustion engine installed a hybrid system, including: applying the lubricating oil composition to the internal combustion engine.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A lubricating oil composition, comprising:
a base oil comprising an ester base oil; and a hindered amine compound, wherein a content of the hindered amine compound is from 0.60 mass % to 10.0 mass % based on a total amount of the lubricating oil composition.

2 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , wherein a content ratio of the ester base oil is 10 mass % to 100 mass % based on a total amount of the base oil.

3 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , wherein the ester base oil comprises one or more of a polyol ester and a diester.

4 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , wherein the base oil comprises the ester base oil and optionally a mineral oil,
wherein a content ratio of the mineral oil is 90 mass % or less based on a total amount of the base oil.

5 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , wherein the base oil comprises the ester base oil and optionally a mineral oil,
wherein a content ratio of the mineral oil is 40 mass % or less based on a total amount of the base oil.

6 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 4 , wherein the base oil comprises the ester base oil and a mineral oil.

7 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , wherein a content of the hindered amine compound based on a total 100 parts by mass of the base oil is 2.5 parts by mass or more and 50.0 parts by mass or less.

8 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , wherein a content of the hindered amine compound is from 2.50 mass % to 10.0 mass % based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition.

9 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , further comprising an antioxidant that does not correspond to the hindered amine compound.

10 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 9 , wherein the antioxidant comprises one or more of an amine antioxidant other than a hindered amine compound and a phenolic antioxidant.

11 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 9 , wherein a content of the antioxidant based on a total 100 parts by mass of the hindered amine compound is 1.0 part by mass or more and 100 parts by mass or less.

12 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , wherein a content of a metal-based detergent in terms of metal atoms is less than 50 ppm by mass based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition.

13 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 , being used wherein the lubricating oil composition is suitable for lubrication of an internal combustion engine of a hybrid system.

14 . An internal combustion engine installed in a hybrid system, is wherein the internal combustion engine is filled with the lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 .

15 . A method of lubricating an internal combustion engine, comprising:
applying the lubricating oil composition according to claim 1 to the internal combustion engine installed in a hybrid system.

16 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 2 , wherein the ester base oil comprises one or more of a polyol ester and a diester.

17 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 2 , wherein the base oil comprises the ester base oil and optionally a mineral oil,
wherein a content ratio of the mineral oil is 90 mass % or less based on a total amount of the base oil.

18 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 3 , wherein the base oil comprises the ester base oil and optionally a mineral oil,
wherein a content ratio of the mineral oil is 90 mass % or less based on a total amount of the base oil.

19 . The lubricating oil composition according to claim 2 , wherein a content of the hindered amine compound based on a total 100 parts by mass of the base oil is 2.5 parts by mass or more and 50.0 parts by mass or less.
