Aerosol generating device and method of operating the same
Abstract
An aerosol generating device and a method of operating the same are provided. The aerosol generating device includes: a heater configured to heat an aerosol generating substance; a display; a timer configured to count a time; a communication interface to perform communication with an external device; and a controller, wherein the controller is configured to: in response to executing a first convenience function using the communication, output, through the display, a screen based on data received through the communication interface; and in response to executing a second convenience function using the timer, output, through the display, a screen based on a time counted through the timer.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An aerosol generating device comprising:
a heater configured to heat an aerosol generating substance; a display; a timer; a communication interface; and a controller configured to: control the communication interface to perform communication with an external device; and cause the display to display a screen based on data received through the communication interface, in response to executing a first convenience function; and cause the display to display a screen based on a time counted by the timer, in response to executing a second convenience function using the timer.
2 . The aerosol generating device of claim 1 , wherein the display comprises a touch panel configured to receive a user input, and
wherein the controller is further configured to: control the communication interface to transmit, to the external device, a request for the external device to transmit the data corresponding to the first convenience function, in response to receiving the user input at the touch panel.
3 . The aerosol generating device of claim 1 , wherein the display comprises a touch panel configured to receive a user input, and
wherein the controller is configured to: check whether a communication link is established with the external device, in response to receiving the user input; control the communication interface to transmit, to the external device, a request for the external device to transmit the data corresponding to the first convenience function, based on the communication link being established; and cause the display to display notification information regarding the communication link, based on the communication link not being established.
4 . The aerosol generating device of claim 1 , wherein the controller is further configured to execute the first convenience function, in response to receiving the data regarding the first convenience function.
5 . The aerosol generating device of claim 1 , wherein the controller is further configured to cause the display to display a screen relating to a current time corresponding to a time counted from a reference time by the timer, in response to the executing the second convenience function.
6 . The aerosol generating device of claim 1 , wherein the display comprises a touch panel configured to receive a user input, and
wherein the controller is further configured to: cause the display to display a screen including at least one object corresponding to a preset time, in response to the executing the second convenience function; and cause the display to display a screen based on a time counted up to a time corresponding to a selected object, in response to the user input selecting one of the at least one object.
7 . The aerosol generating device of claim 1 , wherein the display comprises a touch panel configured to receive a user input, and
wherein the controller is configured to: cause the display to display a screen including at least one object related to an operation of the timer, in response to the executing the second convenience function; and cause the display to display a time counted from an initial time according to the user input selecting one of the at least one object.
8 . The aerosol generating device of claim 1 , wherein the communication interface is a wireless interface configured to wireless perform the communication.
9 . A method for operating an aerosol generating device including a heater configured to heat an aerosol generating substance, the method comprising:
displaying, on a display, a screen based on data received through a communication interface from an external device, in response to executing a first convenience function; and displaying, on the display, a screen based on a time counted by a timer in response to executing a second convenience function using the timer.
10 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:
transmitting, to the external device, a request for the external device to transmit data corresponding to the first convenience function, in response to receiving a user input.
11 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:
checking whether a communication link is established with the external device, in response to receiving a user input; transmitting, to the external device, a request for the external device to transmit the data corresponding to the first convenience function, based on the communication link being established; and displaying, on the display, notification information regarding the communication link, based on the communication link not being established.
12 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:
executing the first convenience function, in response to receiving data regarding the first convenience function.
13 . The method of claim 9 further comprising:
displaying, on the display, a screen relating to a current time corresponding to a time counted from a reference time by the timer, in response to executing the second convenience function.
14 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:
displaying, on the display, a screen including at least one object corresponding to a preset time, in response to the executing the second convenience function; and displaying, on the display, a screen based on a time counted up to a time corresponding to a selected object, in response to the user input selecting one of the at least one object.
15 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:
displaying, on the display, a screen including at least one object related to an operation of the timer, in response to executing the second convenience function; and displaying, on the display, a time counted from an initial time according to the user input selecting one of the at least one object.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
