Accessory Support for An Archery Bow and Related Apparatuses
Abstract
A support for retaining an archery bow on a support surface includes a mounting block affixable to the archery bow and a member adjustably coupled to the mounting block. The member can be repositionable between two or more configurations relative to the mounting block. For example, the member can be rotatable between two or more orientations relative to the mounting block. In some examples, the member can be linearly repositionable relative to the mounting block. In some examples, the member can be a first member and the support can further include a second member adjustably coupled to the mounting block.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed:
1 . An archery bow, comprising:
a riser; a limb coupled to the riser; a cam coupled to the limb; and a support coupled to the archery bow, comprising:
a mounting block; and
a member having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end coupled to the mounting block, the distal end configured to contact a support surface,
wherein the member is linearly repositionable relative to the archery bow along an axis that is nonparallel to the support surface when the archery bow is disposed upright on the support surface.
2 . The archery bow of claim 1 , wherein:
the member is a first member and the axis is a first axis; the support further comprises a second member coupled to the mounting block, the second member configured to contact the support surface; and the second member is linearly repositionable relative to the archery bow along a second axis that is nonparallel to the support surface when the archery bow is disposed upright on the support surface.
3 . The archery bow of claim 1 , wherein:
the member is linearly repositionable from a first configuration to a second configuration; the riser is in a first orientation relative to the support surface when the member is in the first configuration; and the riser is in a second orientation relative to the support surface when the member is in the second configuration.
4 . The archery bow of claim 1 , further comprising a pocket coupled to the riser, the limb coupled to the riser by engaging the pocket, wherein the mounting block is configured to clamp to the pocket to couple the support to the archery bow.
5 . The archery bow of claim 4 , wherein:
the mounting block includes a picatinny clamp; and the pocket includes a picatinny rail.
6 . An archery bow, comprising:
a riser; a limb; a cam; and a support, comprising:
a mounting block; and
a member having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end coupled to the mounting block, the distal end configured to contact a support surface, wherein:
the member is linearly repositionable from a first configuration to a second configuration;
the riser is in a first orientation relative to the support surface when the member is in the first configuration;
the riser is in a second orientation relative to the support surface when the member is in the second configuration.
7 . The archery bow of claim 6 , wherein the member is a first member, the support further comprising a second member, the first member coupled to the second member by an intermediate portion.
8 . The archery bow of claim 6 , further comprising a pocket coupled to the riser, the limb coupled to the riser by engaging the pocket, wherein the mounting block is configured to clamp to the pocket to couple the support to the archery bow.
9 . The archery bow of claim 8 , wherein:
the mounting block includes a picatinny clamp; and the pocket includes a picatinny rail.
10 . A support for an archery bow, comprising:
a mounting block; and a member having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end coupled to the mounting block, the distal end configured to contact a support surface; wherein the member is linearly repositionable along an axis extending nonparallel to the support surface when the archery bow is positioned upright on the support surface.
11 . The support of claim 10 , wherein the member is linearly repositionable relative to the archery bow from a first configuration to a second configuration.
12 . The support of claim 10 , wherein the member is linearly repositionable relative to the mounting block from a first configuration to a second configuration.
13 . The support of claim 11 , wherein:
the member is in a first position relative to the archery bow when in the first configuration; the member is in a second position relative to the archery bow when in the second configuration; and the first position is linearly offset relative to the second position.
14 . The support of claim 12 , wherein:
the member is in a first position relative to the mounting block when in the first configuration; the member is in a second position relative to the mounting block when in the second configuration; and the first position is linearly offset relative to the second position.
15 . The support of claim 10 , wherein the member is a first member and the support further comprises a second member coupled to the mounting block, the second member configured to contact the support surface.
16 . The support of claim 15 , wherein the first member is coupled to the second member by an intermediate portion.
17 . The support of claim 10 , wherein the mounting block defines a picatinny rail and the member couples to the picatinny rail.
18 . The support of claim 10 , wherein:
the member includes a bushing, a foot, and an extension; the bushing includes an aperture; and the bushing includes a first set of recesses arranged radially around the aperture.
19 . The support of claim 18 , wherein the mounting block includes a second set of recesses and a threaded aperture, the second set of recesses corresponding to the first set of recesses, the second set of recesses arranged radially around the threaded aperture.
20 . The support of claim 10 , wherein the mounting block is configured to clamp to a pocket of the archery bow.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
