Abstract

A body-worn storage tray device is provided. The device is used to store materials such as paint or plaster in a hands-free fashion while working. The device is comprised of a body that can be filled with material, featuring a rear wall through which a belt is fed. The belt allows the device to be worn around the waist of the user.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A body-worn storage tray device comprising:
 a body comprised of an interior space;   a fastener; and   a belt that attaches to the body, the belt comprised of a closure.   
     
     
         2 . The body-worn storage tray device of  claim 1 , wherein the body is comprised of an opening. 
     
     
         3 . The body-worn storage tray device of  claim 2 , wherein the opening is positioned on a rear surface of the body. 
     
     
         4 . The body-worn storage tray device of  claim 3 , wherein the rear surface is comprised of a padding. 
     
     
         5 . The body-worn storage tray device of  claim 4 , wherein the padding is comprised of a foam padding. 
     
     
         6 . The body-worn storage tray device of  claim 1 , wherein the fastener is comprised of a hook. 
     
     
         7 . The body-worn storage tray device of  claim 1 , wherein the fastener is comprised of a magnet, a clip, or a tie. 
     
     
         8 . The body-worn storage tray device of  claim 1 , wherein the body is rectangular. 
     
     
         9 . The body-worn storage tray device of  claim 1 , wherein the closure is comprised of an anchoring pin, a clamp, or a double ring. 
     
     
         10 . A body-worn storage tray device comprising:
 a body comprised of an interior space;   a fastener positioned on an exterior surface of the body; and   a belt that removably attaches to the body, the belt comprised of a closure.   
     
     
         11 . The body-worn storage tray device of  claim 10 , wherein the body is comprised of an opening. 
     
     
         12 . The body-worn storage tray device of  claim 11 , wherein the opening is positioned on a rear surface of the body. 
     
     
         13 . The body-worn storage tray device of  claim 12 , wherein the rear surface is comprised of a padding. 
     
     
         14 . The body-worn storage tray device of  claim 13 , wherein the padding is comprised of a foam padding. 
     
     
         15 . The body-worn storage tray device of  claim 10 , wherein the fastener is comprised of a hook. 
     
     
         16 . The body-worn storage tray device of  claim 10 , wherein the fastener is comprised of a magnet, a clip, or a tie. 
     
     
         17 . The body-worn storage tray device of  claim 10 , wherein the body is rectangular. 
     
     
         18 . The body-worn storage tray device of  claim 10 , wherein the closure is comprised of an anchoring pin, a clamp, or a double ring. 
     
     
         19 . A method of using a body-worn storage tray device, the method comprising the following steps:
 providing a body-worn storage tray device comprised of a belt and a body comprised of an interior space and a fastener;   placing the belt around a waist of the user,   securing the belt around the waist of the user using a closure of the belt;   placing a tool, a material, or an item into the interior space; and   attaching a tool to the fastener.   
     
     
         20 . The method of using a body-worn storage tray device of  claim 19 , wherein the fastener is positioned on an exterior surface of the body.
