Inhalation Device with at Least One Liquid Jet Device

Abstract

An inhalation device with at least one liquid jet device such as a micro heater or resistor, to produce liquid drops on demand, wherein the liquid jet device is replaceable; wherein the inhalation device has an elongated shape with a longitudinal axis. The liquid jet device is removable in a direction essentially transverse to the longitudinal axis.

1 . An inhalation device with at least one liquid jet device to produce liquid drops on demand,
 wherein the liquid jet device is replaceable;   wherein the inhalation device has an elongated shape with a longitudinal axis, the liquid jet device being removable in a direction essentially transverse to the longitudinal axis; and   wherein the liquid jet device is mounted on a daughterboard extending essentially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the inhalation device.   
     
     
         2 . The inhalation device of  claim 1 , wherein the liquid jet device is in the form of a MEMS. 
     
     
         3 . The inhalation device of  claim 1 , wherein the daughterboard is replaceable. 
     
     
         4 . The inhalation device of  claim 1 , wherein the daughterboard is connected to a motherboard by a pin and socket connection. 
     
     
         5 . The inhalation device of  claim 1 , wherein the liquid jet device is movable or made accessible by a pin or tool insertable form outside the inhalation device or adapted to open a door. 
     
     
         6 . The inhalation device of  claim 1 , further comprising storage means for storing information regarding the liquid jet device. 
     
     
         7 . The inhalation device of  claim 1 , further comprising display means for displaying information regarding the liquid jet device. 
     
     
         8 . The inhalation device of  claim 1 , further comprising a reservoir for containing a liquid: wherein the liquid jet device and the reservoir are structurally distinct.
