Abstract
There is provided a customizable shower caddy. The shower caddy includes connectors that can be set at various heights along a rod that is supported between a shower basin or tub at the bottom and a ceiling at the top. Product holders can be connected to the connectors at different positions about the rod. This provides flexibility in the layout of which direction the product holders extend from the rod, which enables the shower caddy to be set up for use in a corner, along a wall or in the center of the shower or tub.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 18 . (canceled)
19 . A support caddy comprising:
a support rod; a first connector having a body and a rotational lock to secure the first connector along the support rod, the support rod extending through the body and the rotational lock, the rotational lock includes a first portion in the body and a second portion protruding from the body, the second portion rotatable in a first direction to secure the first connector to a position along the support rod and rotatable in a second direction to permit the first connector to be moved axially along the support rod; and a first product holder associated with the first connector.
20 . The support caddy of claim 19 wherein the rotational lock comprises a wedge between the body and the support rod, the rotational lock rotatable relative to the body to force the wedge against the support rod and the body to lock the body to the support rod.
21 . The support caddy of claim 19 wherein the first connector includes a supporting portion with a recess to receive a portion of the first product holder.
22 . The support caddy of claim 19 wherein the product holder extends from the first connector.
23 . The support caddy of claim 20 wherein the support rod extends through the wedge.
24 . The support caddy of claim 19 comprising a second connector having a rotational lock to secure the second connector along the support rod, and a second product holder associated with the second connector.
25 . The support caddy of claim 19 wherein the support rod includes a first support rod adjustably connected to a second support rod.
26 . The support caddy of claim 25 wherein a lock secures the first support rod and the second support rod to a desired combined length.
27 . The support caddy of claim 19 wherein the product holder is a basket.
28 . The support caddy of claim 19 wherein the support rod includes at least one adjustable end cap.
29 . A connector comprising:
a body including an opening to receive a support rod therethrough; a wedge insertable in its entirety into the body and having an annular body; a rotational lock including an opening to receive the support rod therethrough and being engageable with at least a portion of the wedge, the rotational lock having a first end insertable within the body, wherein the rotational lock rotatably attaches to the body such that rotation of the rotational lock causes the rotational lock to apply pressure to the wedge to lock the body to the support rod.
30 . The connector of claim 29 wherein the wedge has a conical surface, and the rotational lock engages the conical surface of the wedge to lock the body to the support rod when the rotational lock is rotated.
31 . The connector of claim 30 , wherein the rotational lock comprises a conical portion that engages the conical surface of the wedge.
32 . The connector of claim 29 wherein the wedge includes teeth.
33 . The connector of claim 29 wherein the body and the rotational lock include threads such that the rotational lock is threadable to the body to bring the rotational lock into engagement with the wedge.
34 . The connector of claim 29 wherein the body supports a product holder.
35 . A connector comprising:
a body including an opening to receive a support rod therethrough; a wedge; a lock including an opening to receive the support rod therethrough and at least a portion of the wedge, the lock including a first portion sized to be inserted within the body and a second portion that protrudes from the body when the first portion is inserted into the body, wherein the lock rotatably attaches to the body such that rotation of the lock causes the lock to apply pressure to the wedge to lock the body to the support rod.
36 . The connector of claim 35 wherein the wedge has a conical surface, the lock engaging the conical surface of the wedge to lock the body to the support rod when the lock is rotated.
37 . The connector of claim 36 wherein the lock comprises a conical portion that engages the conical surface of the wedge.
38 . The connector of claim 35 wherein the body comprises a first conical surface that engages a second conical surface of the wedge.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
