Abstract

Included in the present disclosure is a wallet comprising a plate, a first rail coupled to the plate, and a second rail coupled to the plate and spaced from the first rail. In some embodiments, the plate comprises a card receiving surface and an outer facing surface opposite to the card receiving surface, and is configured to receive at least one card. The plate may also define a first edge, a second edge, a third edge, and a fourth edge. In some embodiments, the wallet further comprises at least one tension element configured to securely couple the at least one card to the plate, the at least one tension element further configured to facilitate removal of the at least one card along at least two of the first edge, the second edge, the third edge, and the fourth edge.

         75 . A wallet, comprising:
 a plate extending along a first direction and a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction, the plate comprising a card receiving surface and an outer facing surface opposite to the card receiving surface, the plate configured to receive at least one card,
 wherein the plate defines at least a first edge, a second edge, a third edge, and a fourth edge; 
   a first rail coupled to the plate and extending along the first direction, the first direction parallel with a lateral axis of the plate;   a second rail coupled to the plate and spaced from the first rail along the second direction, the second rail extending along the first direction, the second direction parallel with a longitudinal axis of the plate; and   at least one tension element configured to securely couple the at least one card to the plate, the at least one tension element further configured to facilitate removal of the at least one card along at least two of the first edge, the second edge, the third edge, and the fourth edge.

The wallet of  claim 75 , wherein the at least one tension element comprises a clip configured to wrap around at least a portion of the plate, so as to apply a tension against the at least one card, thereby coupling the at least one card against the card receiving surface.

The wallet of  claim 76 , wherein the clip comprises a back layer configured to be disposed over and facing the card receiving surface, such that the at least one card is configured to be disposed and in contact with both the card receiving surface and the back layer, wherein the back layer is configured for Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) blocking. 
     
     
         78 . The wallet of  claim 77 , wherein the plate further comprises a first sidewall and a second sidewall extending from the card receiving surface towards the back layer. 
     
     
         79 . The wallet of  claim 76 , wherein the first rail is configured to extend through at least a portion of a front layer of the clip, wherein the front layer is disposed over and facing the outer facing surface. 
     
     
         80 . The wallet of  claim 75 , wherein the first rail and the second rail are disposed on the outer facing surface, the first rail and the second rail configured to slidably couple to one or more additional cards therethrough. 
     
     
         81 . The wallet of  claim 75 , wherein the at least one card is configured to slide to pass over the first edge and the second edge, and be secured within the third edge and the fourth edge. 
     
     
         82 . The wallet of  claim 75 , wherein the at least one tension element includes at least one of a tongue and at least one protruding portion.

The wallet of  claim 82 , wherein the tongue is configured to extend i) from the card receiving surface, ii) through the card receiving surface, or iii) both, so as to push the at least one card to the first rail and the second rail, thereby securing the at least one card to the plate.

The wallet of  claim 82 , wherein the plate further comprises a back portion configured to be disposed over and facing the outer facing surface, wherein the tongue extends from the back portion, and wherein the back portion comprises a rigid chassis disposed between and/or within a first flexible layer.

The wallet of  claim 84 , further comprising an elongated back portion comprising a second flexible layer that extends from the first flexible layer, the elongated back portion configured to wrap around the plate and be removably disposed over i) the card receiving surface, ii) the at least one card, or iii) both.

The wallet of  claim 82 , further comprising a flexible member coupled to the plate, the flexible member having i) a middle portion coupled to the outer facing surface, ii) a first flap extending from a first side of the middle portion, and ii) a second flap extending from a second side of the middle portion opposite the first side.

The wallet of  claim 86 , wherein the at least one protruding portion includes one or more prongs disposed about a first portion and a second portion of the card receiving surface, wherein the one or more prongs are configured to help maintain alignment of the at least one card against the card receiving surface.

The wallet of  claim 87 , wherein the first rail and the second rail comprise a first sidewall and a second sidewall, respectively, extending from the card receiving surface, the first sidewall disposed about the first edge, the second sidewall disposed about the third edge, wherein the one or more prongs are each at least partially disposed within the first sidewall or the second sidewall. 
     
     
         89 . The wallet of  claim 75 , further comprising:
 a first sidewall extending from the card receiving surface, wherein the first rail is disposed on the first sidewall;   a second sidewall extending from the card receiving surface, wherein the second rail is disposed on the second sidewall;   a third sidewall extending from the outer facing surface;   a third rail disposed on the third sidewall;   a fourth sidewall extending from the outer facing surface; and   a fourth rail disposed on the fourth sidewall,   wherein the at least one card is configured to be slideably coupled to the first rail and the second rail, and wherein at least one additional card is configured to be slideably coupled to the third rail and the fourth rail, so as to be removably secured to the plate.   
     
     
         90 . The wallet of  claim 75 , further comprising a clip removably coupled to the plate,
 wherein the clip includes a front side configured to be disposed over and facing i) the card receiving surface, ii) the outer facing surface, or iii) both,   wherein the front side includes a frame, such that the at least one card or at least one additional card is configured to be received and pass through at least a portion of the frame.   
     
     
         91 . A wallet, comprising:
 a first containment portion configured to receive at least a portion of at least one card;   a second containment portion configured to receive at least a portion of at least another card; and   a hinge coupled between and to the first containment portion and the second containment portion, and the hinge configured to rotate at least one of the first containment portion and the second containment portion about an axis, such that the at least one of the first containment portion and the second containment portion are configured to rotate relative to the other.   
     
     
         92 . The wallet of  claim 91 , wherein the hinge is configured to rotate the first containment portion around an end of the second containment portion. 
     
     
         93 . A wallet, comprising:
 a first rail system configured to receive at least one card;   a second rail system configured to receive at least another card; and   a plate located between the first rail system and the second rail system, the plate comprising a first card receiving surface and a second card receiving surface located opposite the first card receiving surface, wherein the first rail system is located adjacent the first card receiving surface and the second rail system is located adjacent the second card receiving surface.   
     
     
         94 . The wallet of  claim 93 , further comprising a cover configured to couple to at least one of the first rail system and the plate,
 wherein the wallet comprises a modular configuration, such that the first rail system, the second rail system, the plate, and the cover are removably coupled to one another, and wherein i) any of the first rail system, the second rail system, the plate, and the cover can be removed or replaced, ii) additional components can be coupled to any of the first rail system, the second rail system, the plate, and the cover, or iii) both.
