Handgun stand apparatus and system

Abstract

A secure firearm display apparatus and system, having the firearm display apparatus as a key component, where embodiments of the present invention disclose an apparatus for organizing and displaying guns in an upright orientation, providing secure storage and easy access. The custom design ensures compatibility with different handguns by adapting the post geometry to interface with the specific gun's magazine locking or retention mechanism according to the firearm's specifications. Multiple component variations can be combined to provide a custom system.

1 . A gun stand apparatus that is configured to hold and display a particular gun model having a magazine well with a magazine retention mechanism, the apparatus comprising:
 a base; and   a locking post protruding from the base with surfaces configured to be receivable in inserted relation into the magazine well such that the locking post retains the particular gun model by engagement with the magazine well's retention mechanism movement between the particular gun model and the gun stand apparatus.   
     
     
         2 . The gun stand apparatus of  claim 1 , further comprising a one or more accessory located in the base. 
     
     
         3 . The gun stand apparatus of  claim 2 , where the one or more accessory is a well, each well adapted to receive in inserted relation a magazine. 
     
     
         4 . The gun stand apparatus of  claim 2 , where the one or more accessory is a drawer. 
     
     
         5 . The gun stand apparatus of  claim 2 , where the one or more accessory is a hinged compartment. 
     
     
         6 . The gun stand apparatus of  claim 2 , where the one or more accessory is an additional base, each additional base configured with its own one or more accessory. 
     
     
         7 . A gun stand system comprising any one or more of the gun stand apparatus of  claims 1-6 , each attached together via a system base. 
     
     
         8 . The gun stand system of  claim 7 , where the system base further comprises a one or more accessory.
