Abstract
The present disclosure relates to air assemblies having an inflation, a deflation, and a closed state for use with inflatable products, such as air mattresses. Specifically, the present disclosure relates to air assemblies where the configuration of the air assembly can be changed manually by a user by operating a directional control valve to inflate, deflate, or close the inflatable product. The directional control valve may also activate a pump in the inflation and deflation states and deactivate the pump in the closed state.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A system for use with an inflatable product, the system comprising:
an air assembly, the air assembly comprising: a main body forming a main body chamber, the main body defining a first vent in communication with the inflatable product; a control panel rotatably coupled to the main body, the control panel comprising a second vent in communication with the surrounding environment and the main body chamber; a pump body disposed in the main body and coupled to the control panel; a pump cover disposed in the pump housing chamber, the pump cover coupled to the pump body, wherein the pump cover cooperates with the pump body to form an impeller chamber and comprises an air inlet and an air outlet in communication with the impeller chamber; an impeller disposed within the impeller chamber; a motor disposed within the main body and operable to operate the impeller, the impeller configured to direct air from the air inlet to the air outlet of the pump cover; and a disc disposed between the pump cover and the first vent of the main body, the disc comprising a third vent and a fourth vent, wherein at least one of: the third vent is in communication with the first vent of the main body and in selective communication with the air inlet and the air outlet of the pump cover; and the third vent is in communication with the air inlet of the pump cover and in selective communication with the first vent of the main body; and a mounting assembly configured to selectively receive and couple to the air assembly, the mounting assembly fixedly coupled to the inflatable product.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
