Rotator for a medicament delivery device
Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a medicament delivery device comprising a housing having a proximal end and contains a pre-filled syringe positioned within the housing, where the syringe has a needle, a dose of medicament and a sliding stopper. A tubular activation member, e.g., a needle cover that is slidably positioned within a housing of the delivery device to move from a first position to a second position, and then to a final locked position. The needle cover has two distally projecting arms and a proximal end portion terminating in a radial flange. A plunger rod can only move proximally relative to the needle cover when the needle cover is in the second position. The radial flange is positioned outside of the proximal end of the housing when the needle cover is in the first position, the second position, and the locked position. The radial flange has an outer diameter D 3 greater than the outer diameter of the proximal end portion D 2, but less than the outer diameter D 1 of the proximal end of the housing.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 9 . (canceled)
10 . A rotator for a medicament delivery device, the rotator comprising:
a tubular body extending from a proximal end to a distal end in an axial direction relative to a longitudinal axis; and one or more ridges extending from a surface of the tubular body, the one or more ridges defining a track on the surface of the tubular body, the track extending in the axial direction from a distal end of the track to a proximal end of the track, the track comprising one pathway at the distal end of the track and two pathways at the proximal end of the track, wherein the two pathways at the proximal end of the track are separated by at least one of the one or more ridges, wherein a first pathway of the two pathways at the proximal end of the track is bounded at the distal end of the first pathway by a portion of the one or more ridges, wherein the portion is angled relative to the longitudinal axis, and wherein a first section of the portion is at a different angle relative to the longitudinal axis than a second section of the portion.
11 . The rotator of claim 10 , wherein the first section of the portion is angled at a larger angle relative to the longitudinal axis than the second portion.
12 . The rotator of claim 10 , wherein the second section is closer to the distal end of the rotator than the first section.
13 . The rotator of claim 10 , wherein the first section is attached to the second section.
14 . The rotator of claim 10 , wherein the second section of the portion is angled at between 10 and 80 degrees relative to the longitudinal axis.
15 . The rotator of claim 10 , wherein the second section of the portion is angled at between 20 and 70 degrees relative to the longitudinal axis.
16 . The rotator of claim 10 , wherein the second section of the portion is angled at between 25 and 50 degrees relative to the longitudinal axis.
17 . The rotator of claim 10 , wherein the first section of the portion is angled at between 20 and 75 degrees relative to the longitudinal axis.
18 . The rotator of claim 10 , wherein the first section of the portion is angled at between 30 and 70 degrees relative to the longitudinal axis.
19 . The rotator of claim 10 , wherein the first section of the portion is angled at between 30 and 60 degrees relative to the longitudinal axis.
20 . The rotator of claim 10 , wherein the first section is angled at between 5 and 45 degrees more relative to the longitudinal axis than the second portion.
21 . The rotator of claim 10 , wherein the first section is angled at between 5 and 35 degrees more relative to the longitudinal axis than the second portion.
22 . The rotator of claim 10 , wherein the first section is angled at between 10 and 30 degrees more relative to the longitudinal axis than the second portion.
23 . A medicament delivery device comprising the rotator of claim 10 .
24 . The medicament delivery device of claim 23 , wherein the medicament delivery device is an autoinjector.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
