Golf glove with adjustable swing and hand position trainer

Abstract

A golf swing training member removably attachable to a rear or palm surface of a golf glove. The golf swing training member includes a series of spaced channels for receiving and retaining a rod. Depending in which channel a rod is inserted, the rod may be used to teach various elements of a golf swing when the golf swing training member is attached to a rear surface of a golf glove. When attached to the palm surface of the golf glove, the golf swing training member is used to control hand grip position when gripping the golf club.

I claim: 
     
         1 . A golf training apparatus, comprising:
 a member having one or more channels configured to receive and retain a rod; and   attachment means for removably attaching said member to a rear and/or palm surface of a golf glove.   
     
     
         2 . The golf training apparatus of  claim 1  wherein said member is dimensioned and shaped to prevent, while attached to a palm surface of a golf glove, a golf club grip from resting on a hamate bone of a leading hand while a user grips a golf club. 
     
     
         3 . The golf training apparatus of  claim 1  wherein said member is semi-spherical. 
     
     
         4 . The golf training apparatus of  claim 1  wherein said member is cylindrical. 
     
     
         5 . The golf training apparatus of  claim 1  wherein said attachments means is selected from the group consisting of hook and loop fasteners, snaps, buttons, pockets, projection and grooves and magnets. 
     
     
         6 . The golf training apparatus of  claim 1  further comprising a strap connected to said member. 
     
     
         7 . A golf training apparatus, comprising:
 a member having one or more channels configured to receive and retain a rod; and   a golf glove having one or more pockets for receiving a retaining said member to a rear and/or palm surface of said golf glove, said one or more pockets having one or more openings corresponding to said one or more channels.   
     
     
         8 . The golf training apparatus of  claim 7  wherein said member is dimensioned and shaped to prevent, while attached to a palm surface of a golf glove, a golf club grip from resting on a hamate bone of a leading hand while a user grips a golf club. 
     
     
         9 . The golf training apparatus of  claim 7  wherein said member is semi-spherical. 
     
     
         10 . The golf training apparatus of  claim 7  wherein said member is cylindrical. 
     
     
         11 . The golf training apparatus of  claim 7  further comprising attachments means for attaching one or more members to said golf glove selected from the group consisting of hook and loop fasteners, snaps, buttons, projection and grooves and magnets. 
     
     
         12 . The golf training apparatus of  claim 7  further comprising a strap connected to said member. 
     
     
         13 . A golf training system, comprising:
 one or more rods;   a member having one or more channels configured to receive and retain one or more of said rods;   a golf glove; and   attachment means for removably attaching said member to a rear and/or palm surface of said golf glove.   
     
     
         14 . The golf training system of  claim 13  wherein said member is dimensioned and shaped to prevent, while attached to a palm surface of a golf glove, a golf club grip from resting on a hamate bone of a leading hand while a user grips a golf club. 
     
     
         15 . The golf training system of  claim 13  wherein said member is semi-spherical. 
     
     
         16 . The golf training system of  claim 13  wherein said member is cylindrical. 
     
     
         17 . The golf training system of  claim 13  wherein said attachment means is selected from the group consisting of hook and loop fasteners, snaps, buttons, pockets, projection and grooves and magnets. 
     
     
         18 . The golf training system of  claim 13  wherein said attachment means is a strap connected to said member.
