Abstract
A carrier assembly for engaging a hose that includes a carrier assembly inner surface and a carrier assembly outer surface. The carrier assembly inner surface is configured to facilitate rotation of the assembly around the hose. The carrier assembly is configured to couple with an accessory or attachment, such as an illumination device or a deadman assembly.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A carrier assembly for engaging a hose comprising:
an outer assembly surface; an inner assembly surface; wherein the inner assembly surface is configured to facilitate a rotational degree of freedom with respect to the hose, and wherein the outer assembly surface is configured to couple with an attachment.
2 . The carrier assembly of claim 1 , wherein the inner assembly surface comprises an at least one rib feature.
3 . The carrier assembly of claim 1 , wherein the attachment comprises an at least one of:
an illumination device, a deadman assembly, and combinations thereof.
4 . The carrier assembly of claim 1 , wherein the outer assembly surface comprises a mount configured with a guide rail.
5 . The carrier assembly of claim 1 , wherein the outer assembly surface is configured to couple with a second attachment.
6 . The carrier assembly of claim 1 , wherein the carrier assembly is configured to allow for freedom of rotational movement between the carrier assembly and the hose positioned therein in a rotation range of +/−ninety degrees from a rotation reference axis, but prevent or mitigate axial longitudinal movement between the same.
7 . The carrier assembly of claim 1 , wherein the carrier assembly is configured to allow for freedom of rotational movement between the carrier assembly and the hose positioned therein, but prevent or mitigate axial longitudinal movement between the same.
8 . An industrial system comprising:
a hose; and a carrier assembly for engaging the hose, the carrier assembly comprising:
an outer assembly surface;
an inner assembly surface;
wherein the inner assembly surface is configured to facilitate a rotational degree of freedom of the assembly with the hose, and wherein the outer assembly surface is configured to couple with a first attachment.
9 . The industrial system of claim 1 , wherein the inner assembly surface comprises an at least one rib feature.
10 . The industrial system of claim 8 , wherein the industrial system is used for abrasive blasting, wherein the hose is a pressurizable blast hose, and wherein the first attachment comprises an at least one of: an illumination device, a deadman assembly, and combinations thereof.
11 . The industrial system of claim 10 , wherein the outer assembly surface comprises a mount configured with a guide rail.
12 . The industrial system of claim 10 , wherein the outer assembly surface is configured to couple with a second attachment.
13 . The industrial system of claim 10 , wherein the carrier assembly is configured to allow for freedom of rotational movement between the carrier assembly and the hose positioned therein in a rotation range of +/−ninety degrees from a rotation reference axis, but prevent or mitigate longitudinal movement between the same along an axial reference.
14 . An abrasive blasting system comprising:
a blast hose; a carrier assembly for engaging the hose, the carrier assembly comprising:
an outer assembly surface;
an inner assembly surface;
a first attachment coupled with the carrier assembly; a second attachment coupled with the carrier assembly; wherein a rotation reference axis bisects a first attachment intersection point of the first attachment, and the rotation reference axis also bisects a respective attachment intersection point of the second attachment; wherein the inner assembly surface is configured to facilitate a rotational degree of freedom of the carrier assembly with respect to the hose, and wherein upon rotation of the carrier assembly around the hose at any angle α in a rotation range of 0 degrees to 360 degrees in either direction, the first attachment intersection point and the respective attachment intersection point stay fixed on the rotation reference axis.
15 . The abrasive blasting system of claim 14 , wherein the inner assembly surface comprises an at least one rib feature.
16 . The abrasive blasting system of claim 15 , wherein at least one of the first attachment and the second attachment comprise a deadman assembly.
17 . The abrasive blasting system of claim 16 , wherein the carrier assembly comprises a mount configured with a guide rail.
18 . The abrasive blasting system of claim 14 , wherein the outer assembly surface comprises a mount configured with a guide rail.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
