Abstract

A carrier plate for supporting a wall-mounted water closet, the carrier plate including a face plate having a top end, a bottom end opposite the top end, a front face, and a rear face opposite the front face. The carrier plate also including a bracket extending from the rear face of the face plate proximate the top end to define a bracket length, and one or more feet extending from the rear face of the face plate proximate the bottom end to define a foot length and a base plane, where the foot defines an anchor aperture therethrough, where the anchor aperture defines an anchor zone including a volume delineated by the cross-section of the anchor aperture extended normal to the base plane in both directions therefrom, and where the bracket is not positioned within the anchor zone.

3 . The carrier plate of claim 1 , wherein the bracket includes a mounting point configured to couple to a jig, wherein the jig is configured to couple the carrier plate to a second carrier plate such that the carrier plate and the second carrier plate may be moved together by moving the jig.

4 . The carrier plate of claim 3 , wherein the mounting point includes a plurality of apertures spaced along a bracket width that is perpendicular to the bracket length, the plurality of apertures configured to receive at least one fastener that couples the jig to the bracket.

5 . A carrier plate for supporting a wall-mounted water closet, the carrier plate comprising:
a face plate having a top end, a bottom end opposite the top end, a front face, a rear face opposite the front face, and a first side edge and a second side edge each extending between the bottom end and the top end, the second side edge opposite the first side edge; a channel extending through the face plate between the front face and the rear face, the channel configured to couple to a fluid coupling member; a bracket extending from the rear face of the face plate proximate the top end, a distal end of the bracket spaced a bracket length from the front face of the face plate; and a foot extending from the rear face of the face plate proximate the bottom end, wherein the foot defines an anchor aperture therethrough, the anchor aperture spaced an anchor length from the front face of the face plate, and wherein the anchor aperture is offset from any portion of the bracket in at least one of a lateral direction and a longitudinal direction.

6 . The carrier plate of claim 5 , wherein the foot is a first foot and the anchor aperture is a first anchor aperture, wherein the foot is proximate the first side edge, wherein the face plate includes a second foot extending from the rear face of the face plate proximate the bottom end and proximate the second side edge, wherein the second foot defines a second anchor aperture therethrough.

7 . The carrier plate of claim 6 , wherein the first anchor aperture and the second anchor aperture are spaced an anchor width apart, wherein the anchor length is 20% to 30% the anchor width.

8 . The carrier plate of claim 7 , wherein the anchor length is approximately 75 to 100 mm.

9 . The carrier plate of claim 5 , wherein the bracket length is less than the anchor length.

10 . The carrier plate of claim 5 , wherein the bracket includes a mounting point configured to couple to a jig, wherein the jig is configured to couple the carrier plate to a second carrier plate such that the carrier plate and the second carrier plate may be moved together by moving the jig.

11 . The carrier plate of claim 10 , wherein the mounting point includes a plurality of apertures spaced along a bracket width that is perpendicular to the bracket length, the plurality of apertures configured to receive at least one fastener that couples the jig to the bracket.
