Abstract

A flame producing assembly including a pocket lighter and a sub-unit assembly including an extended wand, a rigid support and an helical spring, the pocket lighter being connected to the sub-unit assembly, the pocket lighter comprising a piezoelectric ignition device, the rigid support being located inside the extended wand, the rigid support having an longitudinal inner opening, the extended wand being electrically coupled to the piezoelectric ignition device, wherein the pocket lighter is connected directly to the sub-unit assembly and wherein the helical spring extends along the longitudinal inner opening.

         19 . A flame producing assembly comprising:
 a body housing a piezoelectric ignition device operable to produce an electric charge;   an extended wand extending longitudinally from the body and electrically coupled to the piezoelectric ignition device; and   a duct extending at least partially within the extended wand, wherein the duct includes a first end portion and a second end portion, the second end portion being a diffuser.   
     
     
         20 . The flame producing assembly according to  claim 19 , further comprising:
 a fluid reservoir disposed in the body.   
     
     
         21 . The flame producing assembly according to  claim 19 , further comprising:
 a fluid reservoir disposed in the body, wherein the fluid reservoir comprises a first chamber fluidly connected to a second chamber.   
     
     
         22 . The flame producing assembly according to  claim 19 , further comprising:
 a fluid reservoir disposed in the body, wherein the fluid reservoir comprises a first chamber fluidly connected to a second chamber; and   a pusher connected to the piezoelectric ignition device, wherein the pusher is configured to be compressed along a longitudinal axis such that the piezoelectric ignition device moves along the longitudinal axis.   
     
     
         23 . The flame producing assembly according to  claim 19 , further comprising:
 a fluid reservoir disposed in the body, wherein the fluid reservoir comprises a first chamber fluidly connected to a second chamber; and   a pusher connected to the piezoelectric ignition device, wherein the pusher is configured to be compressed along a longitudinal axis such that the piezoelectric ignition device moves along the longitudinal axis, wherein the piezoelectric ignition device is disposed over the first chamber of the fluid reservoir.   
     
     
         24 . The flame producing assembly according to  claim 19 , further comprising:
 a fluid reservoir disposed in the body, wherein the fluid reservoir comprises a first chamber fluidly connected to a second chamber; and   a pusher connected to the piezoelectric ignition device, wherein the pusher is configured to be compressed along a longitudinal axis such that the piezoelectric ignition device moves along the longitudinal axis, wherein the piezoelectric ignition device is disposed over the first chamber of the fluid reservoir,   wherein the extended wand is coupled to the body and extends from the body to a free end of the extended wand, wherein the free end of the extended wand comprises an aperture.   
     
     
         25 . The flame producing assembly according to  claim 19 , further comprising:
 a fluid reservoir disposed in the body, wherein the fluid reservoir comprises a first chamber fluidly connected to a second chamber; and   a pusher connected to the piezoelectric ignition device, wherein the pusher is configured to be compressed along a longitudinal axis such that the piezoelectric ignition device moves along the longitudinal axis, wherein the piezoelectric ignition device is disposed over the first chamber of the fluid reservoir,   wherein the extended wand is coupled to the body and extends from the body to a free end of the extended wand, wherein the free end of the extended wand comprises an aperture, and wherein the first end portion of the duct extends through the body.   
     
     
         26 . The flame producing assembly according to  claim 19 , further comprising:
 a fluid reservoir disposed in the body, wherein the fluid reservoir comprises a first chamber fluidly connected to a second chamber; and   a pusher connected to the piezoelectric ignition device, wherein the pusher is configured to be compressed along a longitudinal axis such that the piezoelectric ignition device moves along the longitudinal axis, wherein the piezoelectric ignition device is disposed over the first chamber of the fluid reservoir,   wherein the extended wand is coupled to the body and extends from the body to a free end of the extended wand, wherein the free end of the extended wand comprises an aperture, and   wherein the first end portion of the duct extends through the body; and   a rigid support extending longitudinally within the extended wand, wherein the rigid support comprises a free end extending away from the body and toward the free end of the extended wand.   
     
     
         27 . The flame producing assembly according to  claim 19 , further comprising:
 a fluid reservoir disposed in the body, wherein the fluid reservoir comprises a first chamber fluidly connected to a second chamber; and   a pusher connected to the piezoelectric ignition device, wherein the pusher is configured to be compressed along a longitudinal axis such that the piezoelectric ignition device moves along the longitudinal axis, wherein the piezoelectric ignition device is disposed over the first chamber of the fluid reservoir,   wherein the extended wand is coupled to the body and extending from the body to a free end of the extended wand, wherein the free end of the extended wand comprises an aperture, and   wherein the first end portion of the duct extends through the body; and   a rigid support extending longitudinally within the extended wand, wherein the rigid support comprises a free end extending away from the body and toward the free end of the extended wand, wherein the first end portion of the duct is disposed in an longitudinal inner opening of the rigid support.   
     
     
         28 . The flame producing assembly according to  claim 19 , further comprising:
 a fluid reservoir disposed in the body, wherein the fluid reservoir comprises a first chamber fluidly connected to a second chamber; and   a pusher connected to the piezoelectric ignition device, wherein the pusher is configured to be compressed along a longitudinal axis such that the piezoelectric ignition device moves along the longitudinal axis, wherein the piezoelectric ignition device is disposed over the first chamber of the fluid reservoir,   wherein the extended wand is coupled to the body and extending from the body to a free end of the extended wand, wherein the free end of the extended wand comprises an aperture, and   wherein the first end portion of the duct extending through the body; and   a rigid support extending longitudinally within the extended wand, wherein the rigid support comprises a free end extending away from the body and toward the free end of the extended wand, wherein the first end portion of the duct is disposed in an longitudinal inner opening of the rigid support, wherein the extended wand, rigid support, and duct extend concentrically around the longitudinal axis.   
     
     
         29 . The flame producing assembly according to  claim 19 , further comprising:
 a fluid reservoir disposed in the body, wherein the fluid reservoir comprises a first chamber fluidly connected to a second chamber; and   a pusher connected to the piezoelectric ignition device, wherein the pusher is configured to be compressed along a longitudinal axis such that the piezoelectric ignition device moves along the longitudinal axis, wherein the piezoelectric ignition device is disposed over the first chamber of the fluid reservoir;   wherein the extended wand coupled to the body and extending from the body to a free end of the extended wand, wherein the free end of the extended wand comprises an aperture, and   wherein the first end portion of the duct extends through the body; and   a rigid support extending longitudinally within the extended wand, wherein the rigid support comprises a free end extending away from the body and toward the free end of the extended wand, wherein the first end portion of the duct is disposed in an longitudinal inner opening of the rigid support, wherein the extended wand, rigid support, and duct extend concentrically around the longitudinal axis, wherein the rigid support and the duct protrude outside of the body.   
     
     
         30 . A flame producing assembly comprising:
 a piezoelectric ignition device operable to produce an electric charge;   an extended wand electrically coupled to the piezoelectric ignition device and having a free end extending away from the piezoelectric ignition device;   a rigid support extending longitudinally within the extended wand and having a free end extending toward the free end of the extended wand, wherein an inner space inside the extended wand is kept free between the free end of the rigid support and the free end of the extended wand; and   a duct supported by the rigid support and extending at least partially within the extended wand, wherein the duct has a free end extending beyond the free end of the rigid support and into the inner space located between the free end of the rigid support and the free end of the extended wand.   
     
     
         31 . The flame producing assembly according to  claim 30 , further comprising:
 a body having a fluid reservoir defined therein.   
     
     
         32 . The flame producing assembly according to  claim 30 , further comprising:
 a body having a fluid reservoir defined therein; and   a pusher connected to the piezoelectric ignition device.   
     
     
         33 . The flame producing assembly according to  claim 30 , further comprising:
 a body having a fluid reservoir defined therein; and   a pusher connected to the piezoelectric ignition device, wherein the piezoelectric ignition device is disposed in an opening of the body, wherein the piezoelectric ignition device is disposed over the fluid reservoir.   
     
     
         34 . The flame producing assembly according to  claim 30 , further comprising:
 a body having a fluid reservoir defined therein, wherein the fluid reservoir comprises a first chamber fluidly connected to a second chamber; and   a pusher connected to the piezoelectric ignition device, wherein the pusher is configured to be compressed along a longitudinal axis such that the piezoelectric ignition device moves along the longitudinal axis, wherein the piezoelectric ignition device is disposed in an opening of the body, wherein the piezoelectric ignition device is disposed over the fluid reservoir.   
     
     
         35 . The flame producing assembly according to  claim 30 , further comprising:
 a body having a fluid reservoir defined therein, wherein the fluid reservoir comprises a first chamber fluidly connected to a second chamber, wherein the extended wand is coupled to the body and extends from the body to the free end of the extended wand; and   a pusher connected to the piezoelectric ignition device, wherein the pusher is configured to be compressed along a longitudinal axis such that the piezoelectric ignition device moves along the longitudinal axis, wherein the piezoelectric ignition device is disposed in an opening of the body, wherein the piezoelectric ignition device is disposed over the first chamber of the fluid reservoir.   
     
     
         36 . The flame producing assembly according to  claim 30 , further comprising:
 a body having a fluid reservoir defined therein, wherein the fluid reservoir comprises a first chamber fluidly connected to a second chamber, wherein the extended wand is coupled to the body and extends from the body to the free end of the extended wand, wherein the free end of the extended wand comprises an aperture; and   a pusher connected to the piezoelectric ignition device, wherein the pusher is configured to be compressed along a longitudinal axis such that the piezoelectric ignition device moves along the longitudinal axis, wherein the piezoelectric ignition device is disposed in an opening of the body, wherein the piezoelectric ignition device is disposed over the first chamber of the fluid reservoir.   
     
     
         37 . The flame producing assembly according to  claim 30 , wherein the extended wand, rigid support, and duct extend concentrically around a longitudinal axis. 
     
     
         38 . The flame producing assembly according to  claim 30 , wherein the duct includes a first end portion and a second end portion, the second end portion being a diffuser.
