A graspable area has graspable points applied to the outer surface of one or more ends, one or more side, or a top or bottom surface of the bag.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A bag to transport and store a mattress comprising:
a bag sized to completely envelope said mattress; said bag comprising an inner surface and an outer surface; said bag having two sides and two ends; said bag having an opening in one or more ends or one or more sides for said mattress to be placed inside; said bag having outer strips each attached at multiple mounting points only to said outer surface, creating graspable loops at ends or sides of said bag; said outer strips creating multiple graspable loops along a length of said sides or said ends of said bag where said bag can be grasped to lift, shift or carry said mattress.

2 . The bag of claim 1 wherein each of said outer strips is attached to only said outer surface of top and bottom surface of said bag.

3 . The bag of claim 1 wherein said bag and said outer strips are comprised of polyethylene, polypropylene, vinyl, canvas, or any other flexible material.

4 . The bag of claim 3 wherein said polyethylene is produced from virgin resin, post-consumer content recycled resin, post-industrial content recycled resin, bioresins, compostable resins, or any combination thereof.

5 . The bag of claim 1 wherein each of said outer strips is approximately 1″ to 10″ wide.

6 . The bag of claim 1 wherein each of said outer strips is a single layer of material.

7 . The bag of claim 1 wherein each of said outer strips comprises multiple layers of material.

8 . The bag of claim 1 wherein said mounting points are at regular intervals along the length of said bag.

9 . The bag of claim 8 wherein said mounting points create loops for grasping.

10 . The bag of claim 1 further comprising a device for closing the bag once said mattress is placed in said bag.

11 . The bag of claim 10 wherein said device seals said opening in said bag.

12 . The bag of claim 11 wherein said device comprises double sided tape placed along said opening of said bag.

13 . A method of manufacturing a mattress carrier comprising:
forming a bag sized to receive a mattress through an opening in said bag; said bag having two sides and two ends; said bag comprising an inner surface and an outer surface; forming panels or strips; said panels having four sides; each of said four sides having an edge; attaching solely by at least two edges said panels to only said outer surface of said bag along a length of each of said sides or attaching to each of said ends said strips to said bag at mounting points; forming graspable points in said panels or said strips which can be grasped by a user.

14 . The method of claim 13 further comprising attaching each of said strips at mounting points to form graspable loops.

15 . The method of claim 13 wherein said panels or said strips is attached to a bottom and top surface of said bag.

16 . The method of claim 13 wherein said graspable points comprise one or more pre-punched holes in each of said panels.

17 . The method of claim 13 wherein said graspable points comprise one or more perforated holes in each of said panels.

18 . The method of claim 13 further comprising creating said graspable points by forming mounting points created as said outer strips is attached to said bag.

19 . The bag of claim 1 wherein said outer strips run a length of at least said top and said bottom surface of said bag.
