Dishwasher

Abstract

A dishwasher including a tub; a first duct inside the tub to guide washing water, the first duct including a first flange; a second duct configured to guide the washing water from the first duct, the second duct including a second flange couplable to the first flange in a first direction and separable from the first flange in a second direction opposite to the first direction; and a sealing member configured to seal between the first flange and the second flange, the sealing member including a sealing body mountable on an outer surface of the first flange, a first sealing protrusion protruding from the sealing body, a second sealing protrusion protruding from the sealing body, and spaced apart from the first sealing protrusion in the second direction, a reinforcing portion between the first and second sealing protrusion, and a notch recessed between the second sealing protrusion and the reinforcing portion.

1 . A dishwasher comprising:
 a tub;   a first duct inside the tub to guide washing water, the first duct including a first flange;   a second duct configured to guide the washing water from the first duct, the second duct including a second flange configured to be couplable to the first flange in a first direction and separable from the first flange in a second direction opposite to the first direction; and   a sealing member configured to seal between the first flange and the second flange, the sealing member including:
 a sealing body mountable on an outer surface of the first flange, 
 a first sealing protrusion protruding from the sealing body, 
 a second sealing protrusion protruding from the sealing body, and spaced apart from the first sealing protrusion in the second direction, 
 a reinforcing portion between the first sealing protrusion and the second sealing protrusion, and 
 a notch recessed between the second sealing protrusion and the reinforcing portion. 
   
     
     
         2 . The dishwasher according to  claim 1 , wherein
 when the sealing body is mounted on the outer surface of the first flange, the second sealing protrusion is bendable toward the notch while the second flange is being coupled to the first flange in the first direction.   
     
     
         3 . The dishwasher according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the first flange includes:
 a first wall part, 
 a second wall part spaced apart from the first wall part along the second direction, and 
 a groove formed between the first wall part and the second wall part and in which the sealing body of the sealing member is mountable, and having an inclination widening along the second direction. 
   
     
     
         4 . The dishwasher according to  claim 3 , wherein
 the first sealing protrusion protrudes from a portion of the sealing body facing the first wall part while the sealing body is mounted in the groove, and   the second sealing protrusion protrudes from a portion of the sealing body facing the second wall part while the sealing body is mounted in the groove.   
     
     
         5 . The dishwasher according to  claim 4 , wherein
 the second sealing protrusion contacts an inner surface of the second flange while the sealing body is mounted in the groove and the second flange is coupled to the first flange.   
     
     
         6 . The dishwasher according to  claim 4 , wherein
 a gap is formed between the first sealing protrusion and an inner surface of the second flange while the sealing body is mounted in the groove and the second flange is coupled to the first flange.   
     
     
         7 . The dishwasher according to  claim 3 , wherein
 the first flange is hollow, and   an outer diameter of a first side of the groove adjacent to the first wall part is smaller than an outer diameter of a second side of the groove adjacent to the second wall part.   
     
     
         8 . The dishwasher according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the first sealing protrusion and the second sealing protrusion are symmetrical with respect to a radial center line of the sealing member.   
     
     
         9 . The dishwasher according to  claim 4 , wherein
 the second sealing protrusion protrudes farther than the first sealing protrusion with respect to an axial center line of the sealing member while the sealing body is mounted in the groove.   
     
     
         10 . The dishwasher according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the first sealing protrusion and the second sealing protrusion protrude farther from the sealing body than the reinforcing portion.   
     
     
         11 . The dishwasher according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the sealing member has a ring shape, and   a length of the sealing member along the second direction is longer than a thickness of the sealing member along a third direction, which is a radial direction.   
     
     
         12 . The dishwasher according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the second sealing protrusion includes an inclined portion tapered along the second direction.   
     
     
         13 . The dishwasher according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the first flange includes a first chamfer tapered along the second direction at an end part of the first flange, and   the second flange includes a second chamfer configured to correspond to the first chamfer when the second flange is being coupled to the first flange.   
     
     
         14 . The dishwasher according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the second duct is configured to be coupled to the first duct by being inserted into the tub, and to be separated from the first duct by being withdrawn from the tub.   
     
     
         15 . The dishwasher according to  claim 14 , further comprising:
 a basket configured to accommodate dishes within the tub, and to be fixed to the second duct to move together with the second duct.
