Abstract

A system to hold a beverage is disclosed. The system includes a beverage container having a top portion, a bottom portion having a generally polygonal cross-section, rigid exterior and interior walls, a void formed between the rigid exterior wall and the rigid interior wall, and an interior volume at least partially formed by the rigid interior wall. The system also includes a resealable opening, and a removable lid. The system further includes a magnetic component formed into a circumferential pattern at a cross-section of the beverage container. The system may also include a cup having rigid cup exterior and interior walls, a cup void formed between the rigid cup exterior wall and the rigid cup interior wall, and a cup interior volume at least partially formed by the rigid interior wall, where the cup includes a cup magnetic component secured within the cup void.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A system to hold a beverage, comprising:
 a beverage container having a top portion, a bottom surface, a rigid exterior wall, a rigid interior wall, a void formed between the rigid exterior wall and the rigid interior wall, and an interior volume at least partially formed by the rigid interior wall;   a resealable opening of the beverage container that facilitates adding a liquid into the interior volume;   a removable lid for the beverage container, wherein the removable lid includes a spring-loaded valve configured to open when the beverage container is installed within a cooler; and   a collection of alternating polarity magnets secured within the void.   
     
     
         2 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the collection of alternating polarity magnets forms a circumferential pattern at a cross-section of the beverage container, below the top portion, and at least one inch above the bottom surface. 
     
     
         3 . The system of  claim 2 , wherein the beverage container is a double-walled, stainless steel tumbler. 
     
     
         4 . The system of  claim 3 , further comprising a cup having a cup top portion, a cup bottom surface, a rigid cup exterior wall, a rigid cup interior wall, a cup void formed between the rigid cup exterior wall and the rigid cup interior wall, and a cup interior volume at least partially formed by the rigid interior wall. 
     
     
         5 . The system of  claim 4 , wherein the cup includes a cup collection of alternating polarity magnets secured within the cup void. 
     
     
         6 . The system of  claim 5 , wherein the cup collection of alternating polarity magnets forms a ring-shaped pattern at a cross-section of the cup, below the cup top portion, and at least one inch above the cup bottom surface. 
     
     
         7 . The system of  claim 6 , wherein the cup is configured to at least partially envelop a bottom portion of the beverage container when the cup and the beverage container are removably coupled to one another. 
     
     
         8 . The system of  claim 7 , wherein the collection of alternating polarity magnets and the cup collection of alternating polarity magnets, when the cup and the beverage container are removably coupled to one another, align with one another in a manner that releasably secures the cup to the beverage container such that cup and the beverage container do not freely spin relative to one another. 
     
     
         9 . A system to hold a beverage, comprising:
 a beverage container having a top portion, a bottom surface, a rigid exterior wall, a rigid interior wall, a void formed between the rigid exterior wall and the rigid interior wall, and an interior volume at least partially formed by the rigid interior wall;   a resealable opening of the beverage container that facilitates adding a liquid into the interior volume;   a removable lid for the beverage container; and   a magnetic component formed into a circumferential pattern at a cross-section of the beverage container, below the top portion, and at least one inch above the bottom surface.   
     
     
         10 . The system of  claim 9 , further comprising a cup having a cup top portion, a cup bottom surface, a rigid cup exterior wall, a rigid cup interior wall, a cup void formed between the rigid cup exterior wall and the rigid cup interior wall, and a cup interior volume at least partially formed by the rigid interior wall, wherein the cup includes a cup magnetic component secured within the cup void. 
     
     
         11 . The system of  claim 10 , wherein the cup magnetic component includes a collection of magnets formed into a ring-shaped pattern at a cross-section of the cup, below the cup top portion, and at least one inch above the cup bottom surface. 
     
     
         12 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein the cup is configured to at least partially envelop a bottom portion of the beverage container when the cup and the beverage container are removably coupled to one another, further wherein the magnetic component and the cup magnetic component, when the cup and the beverage container are removably coupled to one another, align with one another in a manner that releasably secures the cup to the beverage container. 
     
     
         13 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein one of the magnetic component and the cup magnetic component is a ferrous material that does not produce its own magnetic field. 
     
     
         14 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein each of the magnetic component and the cup magnetic component includes an array of individual magnets arranged in a pattern of alternating polarity. 
     
     
         15 . The system of  claim 14 , wherein the arrays of individual magnets arranged in a pattern of alternating polarity are located such that, when the cup and the beverage container are removably coupled to one another, the cup and the beverage container do not freely spin relative to one another. 
     
     
         16 . A system to hold a beverage, comprising:
 a beverage container having a top portion with a generally circular cross- section, a bottom portion having a generally polygonal cross-section, a bottom surface, a rigid exterior wall, a rigid interior wall, a void formed between the rigid exterior wall and the rigid interior wall, and an interior volume at least partially formed by the rigid interior wall;   a resealable opening of the beverage container that facilitates adding a liquid into the interior volume;   a removable lid for the beverage container;   a magnetic component formed into a circumferential pattern at a cross-section of the beverage container, below the top portion, and at least one inch above the bottom surface; and   a cup having a cup top portion, a cup bottom surface, a rigid cup exterior wall, a rigid cup interior wall, a cup void formed between the rigid cup exterior wall and the rigid cup interior wall, and a cup interior volume at least partially formed by the rigid interior wall, wherein the cup includes a cup magnetic component secured within the cup void.   
     
     
         17 . The system of  claim 16 , wherein the cup is configured to at least partially envelop the bottom portion of the beverage container when the cup and the beverage container are removably coupled to one another. 
     
     
         18 . The system of  claim 17 , wherein the magnetic component and the cup magnetic component, when the cup and the beverage container are removably coupled to one another, align with one another in a manner that releasably secures the cup to the beverage container. 
     
     
         19 . The system of  claim 16 , wherein the cup magnetic component includes a collection of individual magnets formed in a ring-shaped pattern at a cross-section of the cup, below the cup top portion, and at least one inch above the cup bottom surface, further wherein the magnetic component includes another collection of individual magnets formed in a polygonal-shaped pattern at a cross-section of the beverage container within the bottom portion and at least one inch above the bottom surface. 
     
     
         20 . The system of  claim 19 , wherein the collection of individual magnets are formed in the ring-shaped pattern using an alternating polarity sequence.
