Claims

Abstract

A laundry treating apparatus includes a cabinet having a bottom plate that defines a bottom surface of the cabinet, a drum rotatably disposed inside the cabinet and configured to accommodate laundry, a hot air supply disposed at the bottom plate and configured to generate hot air to be supplied into the drum, a rear plate that defines a rear surface of the cabinet and includes a duct configured to receive the hot air from the hot air supply and to guide the hot air into the drum, a driver coupled to a rear side of the rear plate and configured to provide a rotational force to the drum, and a fan duct that is coupled to a front side of the rear plate and connects the hot air supply to the duct. The fan duct is configured to transfer the hot air of the hot air supply to the duct.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A laundry treating apparatus comprising:
 a cabinet;   a drum rotatably disposed inside the cabinet and configured to accommodate laundry therein;   a hot air supply disposed below the drum and configured to supply hot air to the drum;   a rear plate disposed at a rear side of the drum and configured to rotatably support the drum, the rear plate comprising a duct portion configured to receive hot air from the hot air supply and to guide the hot air into the drum; and   a fan duct portion that is disposed at a front side of the rear plate and defines a flow path configured to guide the hot air supplied from the hot air supply to the duct portion.   
     
     
         2 . The laundry treating apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the drum comprises:
 a drum body that has a cylindrical shape and is configured to accommodate laundry;   a drum rear surface that is coupled to the rear side of the drum body and defines a rear surface of the drum; and   a drum inlet portion that defines a plurality of through holes extending through the drum rear surface, wherein the drum inlet portion faces the duct portion and is configured to allow hot air to move into an interior of the drum.   
     
     
         3 . The laundry treating apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the duct portion is integrally formed with the rear plate. 
     
     
         4 . The laundry treating apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the fan duct portion has a front surface that is inclined rearward as the front surface extends from the hot air supply toward the duct portion. 
     
     
         5 . The laundry treating apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the fan duct portion defines:
 a bypass hole that extends through one surface of the fan duct portion and is configured to discharge a portion of hot air inside the fan duct portion to an exterior of the fan duct portion.   
     
     
         6 . The laundry treating apparatus according to  claim 5 , wherein the fan duct portion comprises:
 an opening degree adjusting portion configured to adjust an opening degree of the bypass hole.   
     
     
         7 . The laundry treating apparatus according to  claim 5 , wherein the fan duct portion comprises:
 a fan duct support rib that has a plate shape and protrudes from a surface of the fan duct portion where the bypass hole is not formed, the fan duct support rib extending along a longitudinal direction of the fan duct portion.   
     
     
         8 . The laundry treating apparatus according to  claim 7 , wherein the bypass hole is defined at a front surface of the fan duct portion, and the fan duct support rib is disposed at a rear surface of the fan duct portion. 
     
     
         9 . The laundry treating apparatus according to  claim 8 , wherein the fan duct support rib is spaced apart from the rear plate.
