Abstract

A convertible apron includes an apron body, at least one tie attached to the apron body, and a plurality of fasteners. The apron body can fold along a fold line to transition the convertible apron between a full length configuration and a short configuration. The at least one tie can secure the convertible apron to a waste of a wearer. The plurality of fasteners are securely positioned on the apron body and include at least one bottom fastener associated with a bottom edge of the apron body, and at least one complementary fastener located vertically above the at least one bottom fastener. Each bottom fastener of the at least one bottom fastener can selectively couple with a respective complementary fastener of the at least one complementary fastener to releasably retain the convertible apron in the short configuration.

Claims

I/We claim:

         1 . A convertible apron, comprising:
 (a) an apron body configured to fold along a fold line to transition the convertible apron between a full length configuration and a short configuration, wherein the apron body comprises:
 (i) a first face,
 (ii) a second face,
 (iii) a bottom edge,
(iv) a first side edge, and
 (v) a second side edge located opposite the first side edge;
   (b) at least one tie attached to the apron body, wherein the at least one tie extends laterally away from the apron body, and wherein the at least one tie is configured to secure the convertible apron to a waste of a wearer; and (c) a plurality of fasteners securely positioned on the second face of the apron body, wherein the plurality of fasteners comprises:
 (i) at least one bottom fastener associated with the bottom edge of the apron body,
(ii) at least one complementary fastener located vertically above the at least one bottom fastener, wherein each bottom fastener of the at least one bottom fastener is configured to selectively couple with a respective complementary fastener of the at least one complementary fastener to releasably retain the convertible apron in the short configuration.

2 . The convertible apron of claim 1 , wherein the at least one bottom fastener comprises a plurality of bottom fasteners extending along a first array, and wherein the at least one complementary fastener comprises a plurality of complementary fasteners extending along a second array.

3 . The convertible apron of claim 2 , wherein the fold line extends parallel to both the first array and the second array.

4 . The convertible apron of claim 3 , wherein the plurality of bottom fasteners comprises a first snap located adjacent to the first side edge and a second snap located adjacent to the second side edge, and wherein the plurality of complementary fasteners comprises a first complementary snap located adjacent to the first side edge and a second complementary snap located adjacent to the second side edge.

5 . The convertible apron of claim 4 , wherein the plurality of bottom fasteners comprises an interior snap, and wherein the plurality of complementary fasteners comprises an interior complementary snap.

6 . The convertible apron of claim 5 , wherein the interior snap and the interior complementary snap are located at a lateral center of the apron body.

7 . The convertible apron of claim 5 , wherein the interior snap and the interior complementary snap are located away from the lateral center of the apron body.

8 . The convertible apron of claim 7 , wherein the lateral center of the apron body does not include any fasteners.

9 . The convertible apron of claim 7 , wherein the plurality of bottom fasteners comprises a second interior snap, and wherein the plurality of complementary fasteners comprises a second interior complementary snap.

10 . The convertible apron of claim 1 , wherein a lower portion of the second face and a median portion of the second face are in face-to-face juxtaposition when the convertible apron is in the short configuration.

11 . The convertible apron of claim 1 , wherein the bottom edge of the apron body comprises a hem.

12 . The convertible apron of claim 11 , wherein the at least one bottom fastener is located adjacent to the hem.

13 . The convertible apron of claim 1 , wherein the apron body comprises at least one pocket located on the first face.

14 . The convertible apron of claim 13 , wherein the at least one pocket comprises a square pocket.

15 . The convertible apron of claim 14 , wherein the at least one pocket further comprises a rectangular pocket extending at least partially within the square pocket.

16 . The convertible apron of claim 1 , wherein the apron body further comprises a top edge, and wherein the at least one tie extends from the top edge of the apron body.

17 . The convertible apron of claim 16 , wherein the at least one top edge comprises a hem.

18 . The convertible apron of claim 1 , wherein the apron body further comprises a top edge, and wherein the bottom edge is further away from the top edge while the convertible apron is in the full length configuration as compared to while the convertible apron is in the short configuration.

19 . The convertible apron of claim 1 , wherein each fastener of the at least one bottom fastener forms a pair with a respective complementary fastener of the at least one complementary fastener.
