Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A dishwasher for treating dishes according to a cycle of operation, the dishwasher comprising:
a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber; a first dish rack having a first wash zone and a second wash zone; and a spray tube movable between a first predetermined position and a second predetermined position and having at least one sprayer; wherein in the first predetermined position, the at least one sprayer is positioned to face the second wash zone and is configured to provide water from the spray tube toward the second wash zone, and in the second predetermined position, the at least one sprayer is positioned to face the first wash zone.
2 . The dishwasher of claim 1 further comprising a second dish rack, below the first dish rack, received within the treating chamber, and having a least a portion with a seat for supporting dishes.
3 . The dishwasher of claim 1 wherein the at least one sprayer includes at least one set of nozzles.
4 . The dishwasher of claim 3 wherein the spray tube is fluidly coupled to a water supply to provide the water from the spray tube toward the second wash zone when in the first predetermined position.
5 . The dishwasher of claim 4 wherein the spray tube is closed to a water supply when in the second predetermined position.
6 . The dishwasher of claim 5 wherein the spray tube is open to a water supply and the at least one set of nozzles faces the first wash zone when in the second predetermined position.
7 . The dishwasher of claim 1 wherein the dish rack further comprises at least one section movable between a deployed position and a stowed position.
8 . The dishwasher of claim 7 wherein the deployed position is associated with the first predetermined position of the spray tube and the stowed position is associated with the second predetermined position of the spray tube.
9 . The dishwasher of claim 1 wherein the spray tube is rotatable about a rotational axis, and the first predetermined position is circumferentially spaced from the second predetermined position with respect to the rotational axis.
10 . The dishwasher of claim 9 wherein:
the spray tube further includes a port, a first plug, and a second plug, the port being fluidly coupled to a water supply;
the spray tube is engaged with a first plug when in the first predetermined position; and
the spray tube is engaged with a second plug when in the second predetermined position.
11 . The dishwasher of claim 10 wherein the first plug is oriented about the rotational axis at a first angle clockwise from the port, the second plug is oriented about the rotational axis at a second angle counterclockwise from the port, and the first angle and the second angle are 60°.
12 . The dishwasher of claim 1 wherein the first dish rack includes a first cutlery tray.
13 . The dishwasher of claim 12 wherein the first cutlery tray is located in the second wash zone.
14 . The dishwasher of claim 12 wherein the first wash zone is located adjacent the second wash zone, and the first dish rack further includes a third wash zone adjacent the second wash zone opposite the first wash zone.
15 . The dishwasher of claim 14 wherein the first cutlery tray is located in the third wash zone.
16 . The dishwasher of claim 15 wherein the first dish rack includes a second cutlery tray located in the second wash zone.
17 . The dishwasher of claim 1 wherein the first dish rack is an uppermost dishrack of the dishwasher.
18 . The dishwasher of claim 1 further comprising a second dish rack received within the treating chamber below the first dish rack, and further comprising a third dish rack received within the treating chamber below the second dish rack.
19 . The dishwasher of claim 1 wherein the spray tube extends along a length of the first dish rack separating the first wash zone from the second wash zone.
20 . The dishwasher of claim 19 wherein the at least one sprayer is a plurality of sprayers spaced from each other along a length of the spray tube.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
