Floatable Hat Clip

Abstract

A floatable hat clip that combines universality, floatation, low-profile design, rigidity, and a novel attachment method. The floatable hat clip enhances the practicality of wearing hats in, on, or near bodies of water and contributes to the safety and convenience of the user by allowing any ordinary hat to float in a body of water.

1 . A floatable hat clip, that is a universal attachment capable of securely attaching to the bill or crown of most hats comprising:
 a. An elongated upper surface;   b. A polypropylene or plastic structural core;   c. A closed-cell foam component; and   d. A lower surface clip.   
     
     
         2 . The floatable hat clip of  claim 1 , wherein the closed-cell foam component uses nitrogen or other compressed stable gases. 
     
     
         3 . The floatable hat clip of  claim 1 , wherein the elongated upper surface and lower surface clip have a plurality of ridges. 
     
     
         4 . The floatable hat clip of  claim 1 , wherein the polypropylene or plastic structural core offers sturdiness and initial buoyancy.
