Abstract

A cooking appliance is provided. The cooking appliance includes an outer cabinet, an inner cabinet forming a cooking chamber inside the outer cabinet, and a convection assembly installed on one surface of the inner cabinet and configured to heat air inside the cooking chamber, wherein the convection assembly includes a cover case positioned on an inner side of the inner cabinet and having an intake hole and a discharge hole to allow air flow therethrough, a fan provided inside the cover case and configured to draw in air through the intake hole and discharge air through the discharge hole, a heater configured to heat the air drawn into the cover case, and a glass member provided on the cover case to allow heat emitted from the heater to pass therethrough.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A cooking appliance comprising:
 an outer cabinet;   an inner cabinet forming a cooking chamber inside the outer cabinet; and   a convection assembly installed on one surface of the inner cabinet and configured to heat air inside the cooking chamber,   wherein the convection assembly includes:
 a cover case positioned on an inner side of the inner cabinet and having an intake hole and a discharge hole to allow air flow therethrough, 
 a fan provided inside the cover case and configured to draw in air through the intake hole and discharge air through the discharge hole, 
 a heater configured to heat the air drawn into the cover case, and 
 a glass member provided on the cover case to allow heat emitted from the heater to pass therethrough. 
   
     
     
         2 . The cooking appliance of  claim 1 , wherein the cover case is provided such that at least a portion thereof is positioned at a predetermined distance from the one surface of the inner cabinet to allow air to flow between the cover case and the one surface of the inner cabinet. 
     
     
         3 . The cooking appliance of  claim 2 ,
 wherein the one surface of the inner cabinet includes a coupling portion that protrudes to allow the cover case to be coupled thereto, and   wherein the cover case is coupled to the coupling portion.   
     
     
         4 . The cooking appliance of  claim 3 , wherein the cover case is screw-coupled to the one surface of the inner cabinet. 
     
     
         5 . The cooking appliance of  claim 1 , wherein the glass member has a shape corresponding to the heater and is provided at a position corresponding to the heater. 
     
     
         6 . The cooking appliance of  claim 5 ,
 wherein the cover case includes a front surface in which the intake hole is formed, and   wherein the glass member is positioned on the front surface of the cover case such that heat passing through the glass member is transferred to food inside the cooking chamber.   
     
     
         7 . The cooking appliance of  claim 6 , wherein the heater is provided on an outer side of the fan to surround the fan. 
     
     
         8 . The cooking appliance of  claim 7 ,
 wherein the heater and the glass member are formed in a circular shape, and   wherein the glass member is configured to surround the intake hole.   
     
     
         9 . The cooking appliance of  claim 6 ,
 wherein the cover case further includes a peripheral surface in which the discharge hole is formed, and   wherein the discharge hole is arranged along the peripheral surface such that air drawn into the intake hole is discharged in a radial direction of the fan.   
     
     
         10 . The cooking appliance of  claim 9 , wherein the cover case further includes a guide portion provided such that air discharged from the discharge hole moves away from the one surface of the inner cabinet. 
     
     
         11 . The cooking appliance of  claim 10 , wherein the guide portion is located outward of the peripheral surface and inclined to become farther away from the peripheral surface as being directed toward the front surface. 
     
     
         12 . The cooking appliance of  claim 9 , wherein the peripheral surface is formed to be inclined with respect to the front surface of the cover case such that air discharged from the discharge hole moves away from the one surface of the inner cabinet. 
     
     
         13 . The cooking appliance of  claim 1 ,
 wherein a rear surface of the inner cabinet is formed with a recessed portion that is recessed rearward, and   wherein the convection assembly is installed in the recessed portion.   
     
     
         14 . The cooking appliance of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the glass member forms a front surface of the cover case, and   wherein the intake hole is formed in the glass member.
