Abstract
An archery bow includes a riser, a limb, an axle, and a cam assembly. The cam assembly can include a rotatable member and one or more bearings. The rotatable member can be laterally repositionable or laterally translatable to one of a plurality of positions relative to the one or more bearings. In some examples, the one or more bearings can be disposed within a bearing carriage assembly and the rotatable member can be laterally repositionable or laterally translatable to one of a plurality of positions relative to the bearing carriage assembly.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed:
1 . An archery bow, comprising:
a riser; a limb coupled to the riser; a limb hanger coupled to the limb; a cam coupled to the limb hanger, the cam having a bore; a bearing disposed within the bore, the bearing having an inner race and an outer race; and a component threadably coupled to the limb hanger, the component contacting the inner race, wherein rotation of the component laterally displaces the cam from the limb hanger.
2 . The archery bow of claim 1 , wherein:
the component is configured to rotate from a first configuration to a second configuration; in the first configuration, the cam is displaced a first distance from the limb hanger; in the second configuration, the cam is displaced a second distance from the limb hanger; and the first distance is less than the second distance.
3 . The archery bow of claim 1 , wherein the limb is a first limb, the limb hanger is a first limb hanger, the component is a first component, the archery bow further comprising:
a second limb; a second limb hanger coupled to the second limb; and a second component coupled to the second limb hanger.
4 . The archery bow of claim 3 , wherein:
the first limb and the second limb define a gap therebetween; and rotation of the component laterally displaces the cam within the gap.
5 . The archery bow of claim 3 , wherein:
the bearing is a first bearing and the inner race is a first inner race; the archery bow includes a second bearing disposed within the bore, the second bearing having a second inner race; the second component contacts the second inner race
6 . The archery bow of claim 1 , wherein:
the cam is rotatable about an axis; and the component is configured to translate along the axis.
7 . The archery bow of claim 1 , wherein laterally displacing the cam from the limb hanger alters a moment induced on the cam.
8 . The archery bow of claim 1 , further comprising a locking fastener coupled to the component and configured to retain the component in a fixed position relative to the limb hanger.
9 . The archery bow of claim 1 , wherein the component includes a first aperture.
10 . The archery bow of claim 9 , wherein the limb hanger defines a second aperture and the component is partially disposed within the second aperture.
11 . An archery bow, comprising:
a riser; a limb; a limb hanger coupled to the limb; a cam coupled to the limb hanger, the cam having a bore; a bearing disposed within the bore, the bearing having an inner race and an outer race; and a component threadably coupled to the limb hanger, wherein: the component is configured to contact the inner race; the component is configured to rotate from a first configuration to a second configuration; in the first configuration, the cam is displaced a first distance from the limb hanger; in the second configuration, the cam is displaced a second distance from the limb hanger; and the first distance is less than the second distance.
12 . The archery bow of claim 11 , wherein the limb is a first limb, the limb hanger is a first limb hanger, the component is a first component, the archery bow further comprising:
a second limb; a second limb hanger coupled to the second limb; and a second component coupled to the second limb hanger.
13 . The archery bow of claim 11 , wherein:
the component translates along an axis; and the cam is rotatable about the axis.
14 . The archery bow of claim 11 , further comprising a locking fastener coupled to the component, the locking fastener configured to retain the component in a fixed position relative to the limb hanger.
15 . The archery bow of claim 11 , wherein the component defines a first aperture.
16 . The archery bow of claim 11 , wherein the limb hanger defines a second aperture, the component partially disposed within the second aperture.
17 . An archery bow, comprising:
a riser; a first limb; a second limb; a first limb hanger coupled to the first limb; a second limb hanger coupled to the second limb; a cam coupled to the first limb hanger and the second limb hanger, the cam having a bore; a first bearing disposed within the bore, the first bearing having a first inner race; a first component threadably coupled to the first limb hanger, the first component contacting the first inner race, wherein rotation of the first component laterally displaces the cam from the first limb hanger; and a second component disposed within the second limb hanger, the second component contacting the second inner race.
18 . The archery bow of claim 17 , further comprising a locking fastener coupled to the first component, the locking fastener configured to retain the first component in a fixed position relative to the first limb hanger.
19 . The archery bow of claim 17 , wherein:
the first component translates along an axis; and the cam is rotatable about the axis.
20 . The archery bow of claim 17 , wherein the first limb hanger includes an aperture, the first component partially disposed within the aperture.Cited by (0)
