Abstract
There is provided a sanding device including a sanding head, and a handle. The sanding head includes a front face with an associated sandpaper securement mechanism, and the handle is mounted by a knuckle to the sanding head. The knuckle is arranged so that the handle and sanding head may be mutually displaceable about at least one axis.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A sanding device comprising: a sanding head; and a handle; wherein the sanding head comprises front face with an associated sandpaper securement mechanism; and the handle is mounted by a knuckle to the sanding head; the knuckle arranged such that the handle and sanding head mutually displace about at least one axis.
2 . A sanding device according to claim 1 , wherein the knuckle comprises a pivot.
3 . A sanding device according to claim 1 , wherein the knuckle comprises a ball-joint.
4 . A sanding device according to claim 1 , wherein the knuckle comprises a bearing.
5 . A sanding device according to claim 1 , wherein the knuckle comprises a locking means to lock mutual displacement.
6 . A sanding device according to claim 5 , wherein the locking means comprises two parts that have mutually interlocking teeth, where when the teeth are not interlocked the parts may counterrotate, in which one part is connected with the handle and the other part is connected with a holder.
7 . A sanding device according to claim 1 , wherein the knuckle connects to the head at a rotating plate.
8 . A sanding device according to claim 1 , wherein the handle is arranged to displace from a first longer configuration to a second shorter configuration.
9 . A sanding device according to claim 1 , wherein the handle is coaxially telescopic.
10 . A sanding device according to claim 1 , wherein the sanding head comprises hook and loop securement mechanism for sandpaper.
11 . A sanding device according to claim 1 , comprising a spring bias securement mechanism for sandpaper.
12 . A sanding device according to claim 1 , comprising a reversible attachment means of the sanding head to the handle.
13 . A sanding device according to claim 1 , wherein the handle has a socket for connection of a decorating extension pole.
14 . A sanding device according to claim 1 arranged to accept cartridge units of sandpaper.
15 . A cartridge unit of sandpaper for a device according to claim 14 .Cited by (0)
