Abstract

An in-series fan frame assembly includes a first frame and a second frame. The bottom portion of the first frame has at least one extending structure including a first clasp. The second frame is located below the first frame and connected to the first frame in series. The top portion of the second frame has at least one sidewall engaged with the extending structure of the first frame. The sidewall includes a groove and a second clasp axially aligned with the groove. When the first frame is assembled to the second frame, the first clasp of the extending structure is guided by the groove of the second frame and then coupled with the second clasp of the second frame.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An in-series fan frame assembly, comprising:
 a first frame, wherein a bottom portion of the first frame has at least one extending structure comprising a first clasp; and   a second frame located below the first frame and connected to the first frame in series, wherein a top portion of the second frame has at least one sidewall engaged with the extending structure of the first frame, the sidewall comprises a groove and a second clasp axially aligned with the groove, and when the first frame is assembled to the second frame, the first clasp of the extending structure is guided by the groove of the second frame and then coupled with the second clasp of the second frame.   
     
     
         2 . The in-series fan frame assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the second clasp and the groove have a same central axis. 
     
     
         3 . The in-series fan frame assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the first clasp is a protrusion, and the second clasp is a recess. 
     
     
         4 . The in-series fan frame assembly of  claim 1 , wherein a bottom end of the first clasp has a first chamfered surface configured to slide through the groove to the second clasp. 
     
     
         5 . The in-series fan frame assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the groove has a second chamfered surface configured to allow the first clasp to slide to the second clasp. 
     
     
         6 . The in-series fan frame assembly of  claim 5 , wherein the second chamfered surface is located adjacent to an end of the second clasp. 
     
     
         7 . The in-series fan frame assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the second clasp has two chamfered protruding ribs opposite to each other, and the first clasp is positioned between the two chamfered protruding ribs. 
     
     
         8 . The in-series fan frame assembly of  claim 1 , wherein there is a step difference between the groove and the second clasp. 
     
     
         9 . The in-series fan frame assembly of  claim 1 , wherein a distance between an upper edge of the first clasp and a lower edge of the first frame is the same as a distance between an upper edge of the groove and an upper edge of the second clasp. 
     
     
         10 . The in-series fan frame assembly of  claim 1 , wherein a diameter of the groove is greater than a diameter of the first clasp. 
     
     
         11 . The in-series fan frame assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the extending structure extends from a corner of the first frame to the second frame. 
     
     
         12 . The in-series fan frame assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the extending structure of the first frame has a first recess adjacent to the first clasp, the second frame has a second recess adjacent to the sidewall, and the second recess is axially aligned with the first recess. 
     
     
         13 . The in-series fan frame assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the bottom portion of the first frame has the four extending structures located on four corners of the first frame, respectively, and the top portion of the second frame has the four sidewalls located on four corners of the second frame, respectively. 
     
     
         14 . The in-series fan frame assembly of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a first supporting ring embedded in an inner sidewall of the first frame; and   a second supporting ring embedded in an inner sidewall of the second frame, wherein the second supporting ring is separated from the first supporting ring.   
     
     
         15 . The in-series fan frame assembly of  claim 14 , wherein the first supporting ring and the second supporting ring are fixed to the first frame and the second frame, respectively, by insert molding. 
     
     
         16 . The in-series fan frame assembly of  claim 14 , wherein a material of the first supporting ring is different from a material of the first frame, and a material of the second supporting ring is different from a material of the second frame. 
     
     
         17 . The in-series fan frame assembly of  claim 16 , wherein the material of the first supporting ring and the material of the second supporting ring are metal, and the material of the first frame and the material of the second frame are plastic. 
     
     
         18 . An in-series fan frame assembly, comprising:
 a first frame, wherein a bottom portion of the first frame has at least one extending structure comprising a first clasp;   a second frame located below the first frame and connected to the first frame in series, wherein a top portion of the second frame has at least one sidewall engaged with the extending structure of the first frame;   a first supporting ring embedded in an inner sidewall of the first frame; and   a second supporting ring embedded in an inner sidewall of the second frame, wherein the second supporting ring is separated from the first supporting ring.   
     
     
         19 . The in-series fan frame assembly of  claim 18 , wherein a material of the first supporting ring is different from a material of the first frame, and a material of the second supporting ring is different from a material of the second frame. 
     
     
         20 . The in-series fan frame assembly of  claim 18 , wherein the bottom portion of the first frame has the four extending structures located on four corners of the first frame, respectively, and the top portion of the second frame has the four sidewalls located on four corners of the second frame, respectively.
