Singular drawer slide-mounting bracket preassembly unit

Abstract

A singular drawer slide-mounting bracket preassembly unit is provided, including a drawer slide member having a drawer slide member bracket part and a drawer slide member slide part, and a mounting bracket portion mechanically affixed to an end portion of the drawer slide member by one or more connection mechanisms having corresponding mating structures. The mounting bracket portion has one or more securing dowels extending outwardly from a back outer surface thereof, which enable the preassembly unit to be securely mounted in a furniture item for accommodating sliding members via the securing dowels without using any tools.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A singular drawer slide-mounting bracket preassembly unit, comprising:
 a drawer slide member, including a drawer slide member bracket part and a drawer slide member sliding part; and   a mounting bracket portion mechanically affixed to an end portion of the drawer slide member bracket part via one or more connection mechanisms having corresponding mating structures respectively provided on the drawer slide member bracket part and the mounting bracket portion.   
     
     
         2 . The singular drawer slide-mounting bracket preassembly unit according to  claim 1 , wherein a lower bottom side of the drawer slide bracket part includes a raised stamped part proximate a rear end side of the drawer slide member bracket part. 
     
     
         3 . The singular drawer slide-mounting bracket preassembly unit according to  claim 2 , wherein an upper portion of a cabinet facing side of the drawer slide member bracket part includes a notch proximate the rear end side thereof. 
     
     
         4 . The singular drawer slide member-mounting bracket preassembly unit according to  claim 3 , wherein the notch includes a first channel part having an extension path extending a distance along a longitudinal extension direction of the drawer slide member, a second channel part adjacent the first channel part and defining a substantially vertical or angled channel having an extension path that deviates from the extension path of the first channel part, and a transition portion defined between the adjacent first and second channel parts. 
     
     
         5 . The singular drawer slide-mounting bracket preassembly unit according to  claim 2 , wherein one or more detents are provided extending outwardly and downwardly from a bottom outer surface of the raised stamped part. 
     
     
         6 . The singular drawer slide-mounting bracket preassembly unit according to  claim 1 , wherein the mounting bracket portion includes a latch extending in an extension direction outwardly away from a first end proximate a portion of a front side of the mounting bracket portion toward an opposed terminal end thereof having a hook portion, which extends in a direction that deviates from the extension direction of a remainder of the latch. 
     
     
         7 . The singular drawer slide-mounting bracket preassembly unit according to  claim 1 , wherein the mounting bracket portion includes a mounting bracket channel having a channel opening at a front side thereof and which extends inwardly along a bottom inner surface of the mounting bracket portion toward a rear side of the mounting bracket portion. 
     
     
         8 . The singular drawer slide-mounting bracket preassembly unit according to  claim 7 , wherein the bracket channel includes two laterally opposed side portions and a central portion sandwiched therebetween. 
     
     
         9 . The singular drawer slide-mounting bracket preassembly unit according to  claim 7 , wherein the bracket channel includes at least one upwardly sloped detent entering path extending into the bracket channel from the channel opening at the front side of the mounting bracket portion toward the rear side of the mounting bracket portion along the inner surface of the mounting bracket portion. 
     
     
         10 . The singular drawer slide-mounting bracket preassembly unit according to  claim 9 , wherein at least one transversely extending detent recess channel is provided immediately adjacent to an uppermost end of the upwardly sloped detent entering path inside the bracket channel. 
     
     
         11 . The singular drawer slide-mounting bracket preassembly unit according to  claim 1 , wherein an outermost bottom surface of the drawer slide member is flush with an outermost bottom surface of the mounting bracket portion. 
     
     
         12 . The singular drawer slide-mounting bracket preassembly unit according to  claim 1 , wherein the mounting bracket portion includes one or more securing dowels extending outwardly from an outermost back surface thereof, whereby the singular preassembly unit is adapted to be securely installed in a cabinet for slidably accommodating drawers via the securing dowels without using any tools. 
     
     
         13 . The singular drawer slide-mounting bracket preassembly unit according to  claim 12 , wherein the securing dowels are selected from the group consisting of double securing wing dowels, solid post securing dowels, single latch securing dowels, and mushroom securing dowels. 
     
     
         14 . The singular drawer slide-mounting bracket preassembly unit according to  claim 1 , wherein a rear end of the drawer slide member bracket part of the drawer slide member includes an extension part having one or more notches provided in an upper surface thereof and running along at least a portion of a longitudinal length of the extension part. 
     
     
         15 . The singular drawer slide-mounting bracket preassembly unit according to  claim 14 , wherein the mounting bracket portion includes one or more bracket channels, and
 wherein one or more convex locking members are formed on an upper inner surface of the one or more bracket channels to lockingly engage with a corresponding shape of the one or more notches.   
     
     
         16 . A method of producing a singular drawer slide-mounting bracket preassembly unit, comprising the steps of:
 providing a drawer slide member including a drawer slide member bracket part and a drawer slide member sliding part;   providing a mounting bracket portion; and   mechanically connecting the mounting bracket portion to an end part of the drawer slide member bracket part via one or more connection mechanisms having corresponding mating structures so that an outermost bottom surface of the drawer slide member is flush with an outermost bottom surface of the mounting bracket portion,   whereby the singular drawer slide-mounting bracket preassembly unit can be handled and transported prior to being installed in a furniture unit that accommodates sliding parts without disengaging or misaligning.   
     
     
         17 . The method according to  claim 16 , wherein the mounting bracket portion includes one or more securing dowels extending outwardly from an outermost back side thereof, whereby the preassembly unit is adapted to be securely installed in a furniture unit via the securing dowels without using any tools. 
     
     
         18 . The method according to  claim 17 , wherein the securing dowels are selected from the group consisting of double securing wing dowels, solid post securing dowels, single latch securing dowels, and a mushroom securing dowels.
