Wallet

Abstract

The disclosure includes a wallet including a chassis defining a first face and a second face located opposite the first face, a first card receiving space located along the first face of the chassis and configured to receive a first personal card, a backplate located along the second face of the chassis, and a second card receiving space located between the second face of the chassis and the backplate, the second card receiving space configured to receive a second personal card. In some embodiments, the wallet includes at least one protruding portion coupled to the first face of the chassis and configured to retain the first personal card within the first card receiving space, and at least one protruding portion coupled to the second face of the chassis and configured to retain the second personal card within the second card receiving space.

We claim: 
     
         1 . A wallet, comprising:
 a chassis defining a first face and a second face located opposite the first face;
 a first card receiving space located along the first face of the chassis and configured to receive a first personal card; 
 a backplate located along the second face of the chassis; 
 a second card receiving space located between the second face of the chassis and the backplate, the second card receiving space configured to receive a second personal card; 
 at least one protruding portion coupled to the first face of the chassis and configured to retain the first personal card within the first card receiving space; and 
 at least one protruding portion coupled to the second face of the chassis and configured to retain the second personal card within the second card receiving space. 
   
     
     
         2 . The wallet of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one protruding portion coupled to the first face of the chassis comprises:
 a first protruding portion located adjacent to a first corner of the first face along a top edge of the first face; and   a second protruding portion located adjacent to a second corner of the first face, wherein the second corner is located opposite the first corner along the top edge.   
     
     
         3 . The wallet of  claim 2 , wherein the first protruding portion and the second protruding portion are configured to flex to enable ingress and egress of the first personal card within the first card receiving space about the top edge. 
     
     
         4 . The wallet of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one protruding portion coupled to the second face of the chassis comprises:
 a first protruding portion located adjacent to a first corner of the second face along a top edge of the second face;   a second protruding portion located adjacent to a second corner of the second face, wherein the second corner is located opposite the first corner along the top edge;   a third protruding portion located adjacent to a third corner of the second face along a bottom edge of the second face; and   a fourth protruding portion located adjacent to a fourth corner of the second face, wherein the fourth corner is located opposite the third corner along the bottom edge.   
     
     
         5 . The wallet of  claim 4 , wherein the first protruding portion and the second protruding portion are configured to flex to enable ingress and egress of the second personal card within the second card receiving space about the top edge, and
 wherein the third protruding portion and the fourth protruding portion are configured to flex to enable ingress and egress of the second personal card within the second card receiving space about the bottom edge.   
     
     
         6 . The wallet of  claim 1 , wherein the backplate comprises an aperture located substantially centrally on the backplate, the aperture configured to enable a user to contact the second personal card located within the second card receiving space. 
     
     
         7 . The wallet of  claim 1 , wherein the backplate is spaced from the second face of the chassis. 
     
     
         8 . The wallet of  claim 1 , wherein the chassis comprises a first side and a second side located opposite the first side,
 wherein the backplate comprises a first coupling element and a second coupling element located opposite the first coupling element,   wherein the first coupling element is configured to couple to the first side, and the second coupling element is configured to couple to the second side.   
     
     
         9 . The wallet of  claim 8 , wherein the backplate is detachably coupled to the chassis. 
     
     
         10 . The wallet of  claim 9 , wherein when the backplate is detached from the chassis, a clip backplate is configured to be coupled with the chassis, the clip backplate configured to be located along the second face of the chassis, wherein the second card receiving space is located between the second face of the chassis and the clip backplate. 
     
     
         11 . The wallet of  claim 10 , wherein the clip backplate comprises a clip configured to receive an item selected from the group consisting of the second personal card, paper currency, and combinations thereof. 
     
     
         12 . The wallet of  claim 10 , wherein the clip backplate comprises a first coupling element and a second coupling element located opposite the first coupling element,
 wherein the first coupling element is configured to couple to the first side of the chassis, and the second coupling element is configured to couple to the second side of the chassis.   
     
     
         13 . The wallet of  claim 11 , wherein the clip backplate comprises a first aperture located substantially centrally on the clip backplate and a second aperture located substantially centrally on the clip and substantially aligned with the first aperture, the first aperture and the second aperture configured to enable a user to contact the second personal card located within the second card receiving space. 
     
     
         14 . The wallet of  claim 1 , further comprising a magnetic plate removably coupled within the first card receiving space. 
     
     
         15 . The wallet of  claim 14 , wherein the magnetic plate is configured to magnetically couple to a secondary device to thereby couple the wallet to the secondary device. 
     
     
         16 . The wallet of  claim 15 , wherein the secondary device comprises a smartphone. 
     
     
         17 . The wallet of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a first rail configured to at least partially extend through a first opening in the chassis along a first side of the chassis; and   a second rail configured to at least partially extend through a second opening in the chassis along a second side of the chassis, wherein the first side is located opposite the second side.   
     
     
         18 . The wallet of  claim 17 , wherein at least one of the first rail and the second rail comprises the at least one protruding portion coupled to the first face of the chassis and the at least one protruding portion coupled to the second face of the chassis, wherein when at least one of the first rail and the second rail extends through the chassis, at least one protruding portion is located adjacent each of the first face of the chassis and the second face of the chassis. 
     
     
         19 . A wallet, comprising:
 a chassis defining a first face and a second face located opposite the first face, the chassis further comprising a top edge and a bottom edge located opposite the top edge;   a first card receiving space located along the first face of the chassis and configured to receive a first personal card across the top edge;   a backplate located along the second face of the chassis;   a second card receiving space located between the second face of the chassis and the backplate, the second card receiving space configured to receive a second personal card across the top edge, the bottom edge, or both;   at least one protruding portion coupled to the first face of the chassis and configured to retain the first personal card within the first card receiving space; and   at least one protruding portion coupled to the second face of the chassis and configured to retain the second personal card within the second card receiving space.   
     
     
         20 . The wallet of  claim 19 , further comprising at least one opening located along a corner of the chassis, the at least one opening configured to couple to at least one item selected from the group consisting of a keychain, a lanyard, and a tether.
