Abstract
A swing motion trainer used to simulate one or more sport swing movements includes a rod portion comprising a shaft with a grip. The swing motion trainer includes a resistance portion comprising an interchangeable mechanism at a distal end of the rod portion, the resistance portion includes an interchangeable mechanism at the distal end of the rod portion, wherein the interchangeable mechanism is configured to attach a removable resistance element to the distal end of the rod portion. The removable resistance element that is attachable to the distal end of the rod portion via the interchangeable mechanism. The removable resistance element provides a resistance to a swinging motion of the swing motion trainer.

a shaft extending from a proximal end to a distal end, the proximal end having a grip, and the distal end comprising an interchangeable mechanism; a removable resistance element configured to be attached to the distal end of the shaft via the interchangeable mechanism; at least one electronic sensor configured to measure at least one motion-related variable of a swing and communicate the at least one motion-related variable of the swing to a swing trainer application on a computing device via a network; and a power source in electrical communication with the at least one electronic sensor.
2 . The swing motion trainer of claim 1 , wherein the network in a Bluetooth® network.
3 . The swing motion trainer of claim 1 , wherein the computing device is configured to quantify at least one of speed, velocity, repetition, or resistance of the swing based on the at least one motion-related variable of the swing.
4 . The swing motion trainer of claim 1 , wherein the at least one electronic sensor comprises at least one of a gyroscope or an accelerometer.
5 . The swing motion trainer of claim 1 , wherein the swing trainer application is configured to receive information regarding a weight of the removable resistance element or a resistance level of the removable resistance element.
6 . The swing motion trainer of claim 5 , wherein:
the removable resistance element is a weighted ball and the information received by the swing trainer application is a weight of the weighted ball, or the removable resistance element is an elastic band and the information received by the swing trainer application is a resistance level of the elastic band.
7 . The swing motion trainer of claim 1 , wherein the swing trainer application includes pre-set workouts, past workouts, and/or workouts of other users.
8 . The swing motion trainer of claim 1 , wherein the grip is a rubber grip.
9 . The swing motion trainer of claim 1 , wherein the removable resistance element is a weighted ball.
10 . The swing motion trainer of claim 9 , wherein the interchangeable mechanism is a threaded connection configured to attach to the weighted ball.
11 . The swing motion trainer of claim 9 , wherein the weighted ball is shaped as a sphere, a cylinder, a cube, or another three-dimensional geometric shape.
12 . The swing motion trainer of claim 9 , wherein the weighted ball weighs from 70 grams to 125 grams.
13 . The swing motion trainer of claim 1 , wherein the removable resistance element is an elastic band extending from a first end to a second end, the first end being configured to be attached to the shaft, and the second end being configured to be fixed to a structure
14 . The swing motion trainer of claim 13 , wherein the second end of the elastic band comprises a carabiner configured to connect to a door attachment.
15 . The swing motion trainer of claim 13 , wherein the interchangeable mechanism is an eye bolt configured to attach to the elastic band.
16 . The swing motion trainer of claim 1 , wherein the removable resistance element is a fan resistance mechanism that increases air resistance to slow down the swing.
17 . The swing motion trainer of claim 1 , wherein the shaft is flexible such that the shaft is configured to bend during the swing.
18 . The swing motion trainer of claim 1 , wherein the shaft is made of aluminum or carbon fiber.
19 . The swing motion trainer of claim 1 , wherein the shaft comprises a plurality of demarcations that indicate a plurality of grip locations.
20 . A fitness trainer, comprising:
a shaft extending from a proximal end to a distal end, the proximal end having a grip, and the distal end comprising a loop; a removable elastic band extending from a first end to a second end, the first end being configured to be attached to the loop of the shaft; and a carabiner at the second end of the removable elastic band, the carabiner being configured to fix the second end of the removable elastic band to a structure.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
