Method and apparatus for conical smoking tips

Abstract

A reusable modular smoking filtration apparatus includes a tip having a tubular shape with a first end configured with a first coupling feature and a second end configured with a second coupling feature, a removable freshness plug configured to be coupled to the first coupling feature, and a removable cross-hair shaped filter configured to be coupled to the second coupling feature.

We claim: 
     
         1 . A reusable modular smoking filtration apparatus, comprising:
 a tip having a tubular shape with a first end configured with a first coupling feature and a second end configured with a second coupling feature;   a removable freshness plug configured to be coupled to the first coupling feature; and   a removable cross-hair shaped filter configured to be coupled to the second coupling feature.   
     
     
         2 . The reusable modular smoking filtration apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the tip is made of a polymer material. 
     
     
         3 . The reusable modular smoking filtration apparatus of  claim 2 , wherein the removable cross-hair shaped filter has one or more retaining features configured to interface with the second coupling feature of the tip. 
     
     
         4 . The reusable smoking filtration apparatus of  claim 3 , wherein the removable cross-hair shaped filter is made of glass. 
     
     
         5 . The reusable smoking filtration apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the removable cross-hair shaped filter comprises a metal alloy. 
     
     
         6 . The reusable smoking filtration apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the retaining feature of the removable cross-hair shaped tip comprises a protrusion. 
     
     
         7 . The reusable smoking filtration apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the second coupling feature of the tip comprises a groove. 
     
     
         8 . The reusable smoking filtration apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the removable freshness plug comprises a silicone material. 
     
     
         9 . The reusable smoking filtration apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the removable freshness plug comprises a retention ridge configured to interface with the first coupling feature of the tip. 
     
     
         10 . A reusable tip for smoking smokeable substances, comprising:
 a conical unitary body having a first end and a second end communicably linked by an internal chamber terminating in a cross-shaped filter formed as an opening in a wall of the first end; and   a freshness plug configured to be coupled to the second end of the conical unitary body.   
     
     
         11 . The reusable tip of  claim 10 , wherein the cross-shaped filter is cut through the wall of the first end of the conical unitary body. 
     
     
         12 . The reusable tip of  claim 10 , wherein the conical unitary body comprises a corn husk material. 
     
     
         13 . The reusable tip of  claim 12 , wherein an external shape of the conical unitary body is shaped by a lathe. 
     
     
         14 . The reusable tip of  claim 10 , wherein the wall of the first end of the conical unitary body comprises a flame-resistant coating. 
     
     
         15 . The reusable tip of  claim 10 , wherein the freshness plug comprises silicone. 
     
     
         16 . The reusable tip of  claim 10 , wherein the freshness plug is configured to form a friction fit with the second end of the conical unitary body. 
     
     
         17 . A removable paper filter tip, comprising:
 a removable filter tip comprising:
 a tubular shape with a first end, an inner volume, and a second end, wherein the first end is communicably connected to the second end by the inner volume of the removable filter tip; 
   a removable paper filter comprising:
 a filter body; and 
 an extended filter arm coupled to the filter body; 
   wherein the removable paper filter is configured to couple to the inner volume of the removable filter tip.   
     
     
         18 . The removable paper filter tip of  claim 17 , wherein the extended filter arm is configured to extend from the filter body and have a plurality of folds placed along a length of the extended filter arm. 
     
     
         19 . The removable paper filter tip of  claim 17 , wherein the extended filter arm is configured to extend from the filter body and is configured to be rolled into a spiral shape. 
     
     
         20 . The removable paper filter tip of  claim 17 , wherein the filter body comprises a printing surface.
